No Power
internal battery. Replace that and see if that sorts it. Im assuming you have fully charged it? If you leave it plugged into the mains or your car cigar lighter does it turn on then? It should do-if its the battery.

L am looking for map updates for nextar gps
Unfortunately Nextar GPS systems come with only USA/Canada or UKmaps , maps for other regions are not available, and there are also not much upgrade.
Maps from third party usually do not work on this unit.
The only way to know if a download is available is simply calling them at their toll free numbers, they do not make available online downloads:
Technical Support
1-888-849-0846
Technical Support (For U.K. Only)
0800-047-0126
The good thing is that upgrades and map are both free, while on other models you have to pay for maps.
Give them a call to unlock a download to latest map.
Regards.
GPS CAN NOT FIND MAP DATA FILES
I had a similar problem with a nextar X4-T, which has it's maps on an SD card. If your GPS uses an SD card for it's maps, you can try this:
You will need a computer with an SD slot, and running Windows Xp. I tried the following method on a computer running Windows Vista, and it did not work. I tried again on an older Xp machine, and it worked first time.
- Put the SD (Map) card in the computer's SD slot.
- Open Windows "explore". (RIGHT click on "Start", then select "explore"
- Locate your disk on the file menu.
- RIGHT click on the map disk
- A menu pops up.
- At the bottom of the menu, select "properties"
- Another menu pops up, with several tabs along the top.
- Select the tab that says "tools".
- In the "error-checking" section, select "Check Now"
- Another menu pops up.
- Select the box that says 'Automatically fix file system errors".
- Click "Start"
The program will only take a few seconds to run. If it works, you will see the file directories of the SD card display on the "Explore' screen. You can then put the SD card back in the GPS, and see if it works.
Good luck.
Will not navigate
Look in the owners manual and go to programing/setup. Make sure it is set for the right country.

Won't hold charge
Dear Iblaze1136, Fri 2-20-2009 8:22pm EST (USA)
Batteries must be charged completely when they are new or they will never hold a charge right!
I'm
assuming you never fully charged them when new and so they will never hold much of a charge!
The Solution is to replace the battery or batteries and charge properly (overnight or at least 8hrs).
I recommend Radio Shack for this!

Let me know if I can be of further assistance!
GPS X3-03 is frozen.
Is it plugged into anything, like a power supply or computer?
My Garmin GPS does nothing while it is plugged in, and acts like you describe. Once unplugged, it powers up normal, although you must enter the password if enabled.
GPS WON'T FINISH LOADING

Looking for a part
Get a blank card, put it in your gps device, connecct to your computer, go to their website and download the maps you need. Mine stores everything inside itself. You might not even need the card. Just load the maps into the gps.
