AF10000E Extraction hose lost - need replacement
Okay, I know this was a hundred years ago but the solution below applies much more widely than just to this one model.(although I know the sizes are exactly right for this one as I've used it myself).
Replacement hoses are insanely expensive if you can even find them. A classic case of manufacturers exploiting a captive market.
Just go to Screwfix and order these:
1 x Manrose PVC Flexible Ducting Hose White 3m x 100mm (18232)£3.99
1 x Manrose Round Central Reducer White 125-100mm (10684)£1.54
1 x 510 Insulating Tape White 33m x 19mm (3683V)£0.99
Insert the reducer into the vent hole at the back of the ac unit and tape it in place. Connect the hose and tape it in place, Stick the other end out at the window and block the space round it.
This is a good, not perfect, solution as it does reduce\ slightly the diameter of your venting hose. However, at a total cost of £6.52, you might want to give it a go. And you can do it today, rather than waiting 48 hours or a week or sthg for a £35 alternative to arrive.
Good luck,
Portable air conditioner. Why does it leak AFTER turned off?
Air conditioners are high-powered dehumidifiers, generating lots of water during damp days, water that has to go somewhere and it will continue to generate a little water after being switched off until the evaporator has warmed to room temperature.
