Magnetron working but fan and turntable do not work when started
Thar current drain sounds normal and equates to ~1000W power for the maggie and around 7-800W cooking power.
The magnetron has its own high voltage/current circuit but it is surprising that it still operates when the controller is somehow damaged.
If you have a display and can set your cooking parameters, the controller is doing most of what it should so I would check for a relay either on or off the controller board (where the display is mounted).
It is likely to be in a case but could be open-frame too.
This is the best candidate for replacement.
If you can't locate the relay, I would consider replacing the microwave since the electronics will probably be hard to find and cost enough to make replacing it more beneficial.
