Has your phone been jail broken ? if so you will have to restore it back to apple factory settings before it will connect with iTunes

Quit trying to get it to do anything until it's TOTALLY dry. The best way to get it dried out is to put it in a container filled with rice, then put it in a warm place, like in the sun coming through a window or even an oven with the temperature set to the lowest setting. try to CHARGE your battery first in a clip charger if it is faulty or still good but if there is no stored power,in that case,check your charger if still it gives an out put voltage,if not replace your charger with a new one or the battery.,

If you can't kick it using DFU mode, it may be worth trying the following method: With the phone off and the USB cable plugged into your computer and iTunes started, hold the home button and plug the USB cable into the phone, keep holding the home button and it will start in recovery mode, try restoring that way. I am not sure.. but my guess is yoou need to close all the apps running on your iphone firstly then you can switch off wireless ( incase your pictures are set to be sync with any cloud service like Icloud // dropbox.. then i m sure you will be able to delete... and clean restart of your phone should also help regards, Bilal
