Turn off the iPhone before inserting the sim, insert sim, turn on, import contacts. If you put the sim in the phone without restarting it for some reason it doesn't get all the contacts sometimes.

It depends on the severity and the settings you have given the iPhone and whether you have the computer that you synced your iPhone with... Here's the full explanation. I would recommend reading the second paragraph first, but the solution if you really forgot your password is in the first paragraph.
==If you have the computer you synced your iPhone with==
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that was used to originally sync the iPhone or iPod touch so that you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present. Refer to "Updating and restoring iPhone and iPod touch software."

"If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you'll see a message that says "iPhone is disabled" and to try again later. If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It  can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode."

==If you don't have the computer you synced your iPhone with==
If you don't have the original computer the iPhone synced with, the only solution is to force your iPod Touch into recovery mode and then restore it. You will lost all the data on the iPod Touch, but after this method is done, everything will work. You can find the steps to solving this problem here:

Doesn't matter which folder you're in, it works the same - just hit "Edit" at the top - all of the emails scoot to the right revealing a faint circle. Tap the circle next to the message you want to delete and it'll turn red. There will then be a button at the botton that says "Delete" with the number of msgs you've selected in parentheses.

If you want to totally empty every message, you'll have to select each one and then delete them, but in the trash folder there will be a button that says "Delete All" at the bottom after you hit "Edit"

Tip

Tips

Screen Shot
Hold the Home button, then hit the "Power/Sleep" button, the screen will momentarily flash, and the iPhone's current screen contents will be saved to the Camera Roll.
Scrolling up
Simply touch the "Status Bar" at the very top of the screen (this is where the time is). When you're in MobileSafari and the Mail application you will automatically scroll back up to the top of the page (or email).
Auto TLD
You have to have Google set as the default search engine for this to work. After this is set, you can just put "apple" into the browser, and press "Go". It'll automatically take you to the Apple website.
Set content restriction
General -> Restrictions" then tap Enable Restrictions and enter a four-digit passcode to restrict your content.

iTunes and the iPhone will not allow the the transfer from the iPhone back to your laptop only from the laptop to the iPhone.
There is third party software you can use that allow for this.
A few are free while others cost, and you can research them at the link below.
The free ones (especially Sharepod) should be sufficient, if all you need to do is transfer video to your PC. If you are running a Mac (Sharepod is for Windows) there are apps for that too. Sharepod needs to be run from your PC, but it really doesn't install on the hard drive, so if you are done with it, you just delete it, you do not need to do an Add/Remove to remove the applications.
You can get more info here, this is a very well known iPod forum.

you should be able to go into itunes and delete the songs, then sync your iphone again. If that doesn't help then I would go into the apple store and see why not. you can also just call apple for support for free if you are an at&t subscriber good luck

Your phone can be blocked to others phone companies.
Other thing can be the technology of your chip. Maybe your chip is 4G and your phone accept only 3G. Try to put others sims and test it.
