Defrost unit and work everything loose. Wipe off all water and let it sit over night. Plug in next morning and allow 24 hours for temps to be right.

You may want to remove all the food, unplug your fridge, and the out the whole thing...melting the ice and cleaning out all the unwanted water. The drawer will be removable, and you can dry under it. Also check the overflow tray under the fridge, if there is one...it'll be full from all the melting.

Hi,There was some issues with filter seals some years back and the filters had flat spots and caused the to leak. So if you are using a factory filter you can return it to the parts distributor and they will replace it. the drain tube hole behind the inner rear panel in the freezer has plugged up and when it defrosts the water cant drain down to the condensate pan at the lower rear of the unit to evaporate

The control board has a problem, we had the same problem and had the ice maker and control board replaced but we are starting to get ice building up under the ice bin. I'm very disappointed with this Whirlpool poduct.
