this software in my own experience is not very user friendly. I recommend getting on a torrent site and trying different DVD software instead actually. Unless you purchased a key, then click on help, and there you should be able to enter your key code to activate in the 'About' section or Register.

3-2-1 Studios went out of business in 2004 due to the fact that this software was deemed to be in violation of the DMCA, so there is no chance of contacting support as it doesn't exist.

What you need to do IIRC is to set the date on your clock back to November 2003 (if the date doesn't work, try different combinations. It's been a while) before you install. I know this sounds nuts, but it works. I bought this software in 2005 and was given these instructions and they do work. Also, disconnect your internet connection as it will try to register online and obviously it can't do that.

But, honestly, you really shouldn't waste your time with this product as it is completely archaic and hasn't had an update in 6 years. I stopped using it in 2006 because more and more of the newer DVD's either had empty sectors (which DVDXCopy can't overcome) and advanced security features.

What you need is AnyDVD and DVDClone 2 by Slysoft.

AnyDVD is constantly updated and removes all security features FROM all DVD's. Slysoft was the first company to crack HD DVD and Blu Ray Security features and they did it 30 days after Sony said it couldn't be done. I've been using it since I THREW OUT DVDXcopy because it was such a miserable failure.

The companion product, CloneDVD2 allows you to bang out your DVD copies and if you use good media, will never fail. CloneDVD allows you to also manually remove things you don't want like foreign language tracks, special features, advertisements and other things that cause your compression rates to be higher and ergo, lower quality DVD trnsfers onto standard 4.7 GB discs (you can also use Dual Layer DVD's as well as HD DVD and BD if you have the equipment).

The best part about slysoft is that they offer a 21 day free (no strings attached, no credit card required) trial period.

321 went out of business several years ago as a result of a court order to do so.  The studios sued them for enabling copyright infringement for copying DVDs. 

 

A little odd that 321 got smacked when there are dozens of other outfits selling DVD copiers left and right unfettered.

 

You can google for 321 DVDxCopy and you will find a link to another outfit that will sell you a competitive upgrade to replace your 321 boat anchor.

If you have a legal copy of the software, then you could look for a crack on the internet, which would not require activation. Again, since you own a legitimate copy of the software, that would seem to be a viable alternative.

In a nutshell, since 321 is shut down, you will have to find some kind of crack for it.

Upon installation, you should be able to use your original License ID and password. If you cannot, you should be able to call the company and give them some information proving you bought the program. They will probably understand and give you a new license.

if its a free trial off the internet, then its exspecting you to buy a copy of the program.
