Toro Personal Pace 20334 22-inch Briggs & Stratton Gas Self-Propelled Lawn Mower. The electric start button does not release?

Question edited for a little more clarity. Question moved from Laundry Dryers. There is either a fault with the push start switch, the starter relay or starter solenoid. Take it in for service, or you local dealer will probably collect and return it. https://www.google.com/search?q=toro+mower+service+near+me& ..

Wheels are locked when trying to push it forward with engine shut off.

There should be a release to disengage the drive system so you can push it when not running. On my Cub Cadet it is on the back above the hitch. It is a simple lever that I pull out and push up to disengage. Has to be something similar on the toro.

I have a Toro mower made in 5/09 self propel system it grinds when you pull it in reverse. The selp propel is not working. The belt is on. and it seems to be only the left rear wheel? The cable is not

Yes it is the transmission. A Mower shop will charge you about $225 to fix.. I order parts online and fixed mine for $90. Transmission consist of 3 gears which turns the rear wheels to self-propel. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/joe_8b8c2cd6ce148309

Toro personal pace mower not starting

First check the gas. Old gas after only 3 or 4 months of storage will not fire properly. Completely drain the tank and add some fresh gas. Also take the air cleaner off and check the air filter. It is possible you may have tipped the mower to that side while hosing the grass from the underside. The filter could now be plugged with oil and the motor can not breath. Replace the filter if this is the case. And finally, replace the gasket on the back side of the air cleaner plastic housing that attaches to the carburetor. This gasket if defective or dried out can prevent the primer bulb from injecting gas into the carb when you pump it. Its also possible it fell off if you ever removed this cover which is bolted on with 2 screws. Some dealers even go as far as to put 2 gaskets on to get a good prime. If these simple fixes don't work. You also could have sheared the key way when the motor hit something you ran over in your yard. That will require a shop to pull the flywheel and gets a little more involved.

Toro Personal Pace sounds like it is running at half power

got oil in it, or do you add oil. Left outside alot, fuel line clogged. Is the gas old. Check the blades and the exit portion of the clippings. Does it have a drive train for ease of moving. those can bog down a mower. good luck

Toro CCR 2450 Snowblower has new plug & gas but will only start with added starter fluid then will run until trying to start again.

Question edited for clarity. When you put it away at the end of last snow season, I expect you just rolled it to the corner of the garage and left it until now? The two stroke gas in the carburetor, went bad and gummy. It starts on starter fluid because no gas is coming from the carb. https://www.google.com/search?q=toro+ccr+2450+carburetor+cleaning ..

We have a Toro Powervac that will not start. Vac has a new carburetor, new engine coil, new fuel lines, new spark plug and still will not start. Any suggestions?

did you make sure it has spark. i have learned over the years because an electronic is new doesn't mean its good? If it has spark remove the plug and put a bit of gas in the hole and re install plug see if it will fire on that gas. if it does its the carb something is probably blocking fuel. check the compression if its low compression it will not run. if u dont have a compression checker just remove the plug stick your finger tight over the plug hole and pull it over it should blow your finger off the hole.

Hi, I would like to know what is the typical compression value of a Kohler 16HP singel cylinder engine?

Yes, decompression lowers cylinder pressure during low rpm while cranking. If you're concerned with compression, you need to do a leakdown test. Inexpensive (~$30) units are available through numerous eVendors. The leakdown test provides a metered volume of air that is translated and displayed on a pressure gauge simply labeled high (excessive leakage), moderate, or low (nominal leakage).

It's an L-head engine and once they get a few hundred hours run time, the valves wear into the hard seat, lash goes to zero, and they become hard to start. You can check valve lash by removing the crankcase breather (two screws). If lash is near zero, time for a valve job. Plenty of how to videos on the web. If it's easy start, just low power then less likely a valve lash issue.

There are many things that cause low power. Bad fuel, water in fuel (fuel bowl), fouled carburetor, poor spark, fouled plug, improper plug gap, wrong plug, weak ignition module.
