Robot Coupe R2U Ultra Food Processor Questions & Answers
Remove pin & replace in work bowl
it takes two to do this. there are two holes on the bottom part of handle. find something strong to push them in. one person pushes them in and have other person with pliers pull on the plug that you need to remove to get to broken pin. after that...replacement is easy
The robot coupe will stop working periodically
It is overheating, probably because it is being overworked. Some common problems are overloading the bowl, or forcing too much food into the hopper on top. Once it overheats, it will kick out again rather quickly the next time unless the motor has time to cool. If you are shredding cheese, slow down on the amount of cheese forced into the blade. If you are trying to mix heavy dough you are probably overloading the bowl as well. This machine can't handle over a pound of pizza dough without overheating. The reset button is there to keep from burning the motor out. If you continue to reset and force feed the machine, it will burn the motor out. Good luck, hope this helps.
How do I replace the spring on a robo coupe?
Are you referring to the spring in the cutter bowl? You will need to remove the retaining nut. The spring will then come out. the part number for the spring is R1776. Whole assembly part # R242.
Are you referring to the spring in the on and off switch? You will have to replace the switch. If you call Heritage Food Service Equipment, they will be able to fax you a parts break down so that you will know what part is needed. They can most of the time tell you how to replace the parts also. You can contact them at 1-800-253-0200.
I purchased a Robot Coupe R101 and wanted to add the Pulse button. Do I just get a R101 Plus switch and front panel? How hard is the replacement?
Thanks
To add the pulse button to your Robot Coupe R101, you will need to purchase the R101 Plus switch and front panel. The replacement is relatively simple and can be done by following these steps:
- Turn off and unplug the Robot Coupe R101.
- Remove the screws that hold the top cover in place and lift off the cover.
- Locate the control panel on the front of the machine and remove the screws that hold it in place.
- Carefully remove the control panel and disconnect the wires from the old switch.
- Install the new R101 Plus switch onto the control panel and connect the wires.
- Replace the control panel onto the front of the machine and secure it in place with the screws.
- Replace the top cover and secure it in place with the screws.
Once the new switch and front panel are installed, you will have the pulse button on your Robot Coupe R101.
