Ther is white build up in it. i used the self

The white build up is probably mineral deposits from the water used in the iron. Try using a solution of white vinegar and water, about 50% each, and let the solution heat and steam through the iron. You may need to do this a few times. If this does not work, try using a product such as Lime Away or CLR to remove the deposits. After treatment, clean the bottom of the iron after it cools. It's a good idea to use distilled water in the iron to avoid all those mineral deposits.
Hope this helps!

It shuts itself off

The SHARK ELECTRONIC Iron is equipped with an electronic auto-off. The electronic auto-off switches the iron off if it has been left standing unmoved in any position (sideways, flat or upright) for approximately 7-9 minutes. A red light on the LED display panel will flash when the iron switches itself off. (Fig. 7) To switch the iron back on, just shake the iron side-to-side several times.

Brown water drips

Hi,
This may be down to contaminants in your water supply, or any "ironing water" you may be using.

There will be a build up inside the hotplate where the water is vapourised.

To clear this, refer to your manual or simply put on high steam setting, rest on it's heel, and wait for the indicator light to go out, then unplug, and hold horizontal over the sink. Press any steam boost buttons you have untill the iron is cold - and you just get water flowing out.

The best and cheapest water to use I've found - is the condensate from condensing tumble dryers. Which most people just tip away! It is condensed steam - so contains no minerals to fur up irons. If you don't have one - ask a neighbour for a few gallons.
