Mitsubishi WD-65731 65-Inch 1080p DLP HDTV Questions & Answers
Why won't replacement lamp turn on?
Check connections. If the new lamp was not seated properly or the connector was not seated properly, the controller won't turn the lamp ON. It might be that damage to the lamp power supply may have occurred due to the old lamp failing. If so, then replace the lamp power supply board. Also, be sure that the cooling fans and filters are vacuumed and thoroughly cleaned and lubricated with a tiny drop of Z-Max on each bearing. Regards.

Try a reset. Start by unplugging for 1 minute, then plug back in & if still won't restart try the following. If none of the following work, you will need a technician.

which of the three lights is flashing red?Let me know and I will assist you with the issue.
Buzzing/humming noise won't stop
If its a DLP with a high pitched or even fan like sound it is the color wheel--Mitsubishi does not sell them as a part---you would have to replace the entire light engine (expensive and may not be available any more on a older set) .
My tv blinks 6x red and 1x yellow. whats that mean?
Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, or the LED light stationery; the main board is faulty.

How to replace the main board on a mitsubishi WD-60C8
Basing the replacement of the board on the clicking sound of a relay trying to close is not a safe bet. The first thing you need to do is check the bulb. Then there is a ballast board and then the Power supply board. Parts might be hard to find. Use the website I listed to see what part numbers are then google it or look on eba or amazon for those parts.

What is the correct part# for a DLP: Mitsubishi WD60737 60", Serial#139599 Made June 2009?
If your set worked well (no lines, maybe only white or black scattered pixels) before you replaced the DLP chip, then your problem could be that the DLP chip did not get seated properly or the cam screws were not tightened enough after replacing the chip. The DLP chip must be seated properly in its socket or else line and column lines will be seen. There is also the possibility that the DLP chip is defective or suffered static damage while being handled during the installation. Hope this helps.
