Is this a new cover? There is an adjustment. On the bottom of the machine, dead center,
there is an adjustment screw with a locking nut. Unlock the nut and the turn the screw
counter clockwise, this will lower the motor shaft and consequently the blade. Once you
have clearance and install the cover, turn the screw clockwise until the blade contacts the
chute, back it off a half turn and lock her down. This will establish the correct gap between
the chute and blade. Also if your chute is ever chipped or scored by the blade because
of excessive vibration, you can file the chute level and readjust the gap.
How to replace latch arm for omega 1000 juicer?
Getting the old one out is the hardest part if the arm was broken off like mine. First locate the rectangular part where the arm attaches to the case. If the old arm, or most of it, is still attached, grasp it and pull firmly away from the case until you hear a click. Then, still pulling it away from the case, push it up toward the top of the case until it slides out. If the arm is broken off you have to pry it from the top until you hear the click. I used a small paring knife. Once you get it this far, wedge something like a toothpick behind it to keep it pulled away from the case. Then you need to push this push this part up. It is pretty tight so you might want to use some type of tool, like the blade of a flat screwdriver. Once you get the old one out, putting the new on in is just the reverse of taking the old one out.

THE SOLUTION TO VIBRATING. If it spins up ok and starts vibrating suddenly as you are feeling it, here's the solution: feed it very, very, slowly. that's it. i couldnt figure mine out, then realized that if i fed it slowly, it was just fine.

Make sure the bottom of the feed chute is not damaged. If it,s chipped or scored, try filing
it down level as best you can. Then with the juicer fully assembled, unlock the set screw
on the center of the bottom and turn it clockwise until the chute contacts the blade, then
back it off a half turn and lock it down. By the way a dull worn blade will produce less
vibration. I'm assuming the lid is plastic.

There is no solution. These juicers do not eject the pulp and go out of balance very easily.
Don't feel bad, I've seen you tube videos where the demonstrator couldn't keep it under
control. If you are unable to master it, consider a pulp ejecting or masticating type juicer.

With some difficulty. Sometimes replacement latch arms are not an exact fit for
older models. You may have to file them down a bit so they will snap in place.
Also make sure the fit at the cover is not too snug or else the arm will break again.

I'm guessing it's busted. If you want to wire in a new one on your own, remove the 4
screws on the bottom of the juicer and separate the base. Omega at 1 800 633 3401,

Just looked at mine because I thought there also might be an interlock switch
where the latch arms snap shut. There isn't one, at least on this one. Yours
might be a newer edition, so make sure the latch arms are fully seated and
snapped closed. You can also call Omega at 1 800 633 3401 and run it by
them. The reset switch should be in the pushed in position, it will pop out if
it's tripped.
How to instal the arm
Best way to do it is remove the four screws on the bottom to separate the base
and work from the inside. Sometimes the newer latch arms are not an exact fit
and you may have to do a little filing here and there especially if it's a tight fit over
the lid.
My omega 1000 juicer won't
Make sure it is assembled correctly and the latch arms snap shut completely
without any undue force. Also on the bottom of the juicer there should be a
reset button that might have tripped, just push it in. Other wise give Omega
a call.

There's nothing wrong. These juicers do not eject the pulp and go out of balance very
easily. If you continue to have problems you may have to go for a different type of juicer.
The Hurom or Omega VRT, expensive, look good if you're really into juicing.
