Unfortunately this model does not currently appear to have support for the FLAC lossless format, and does not have any updates available through the manufacturer's website at this time.

According to information provided by Insignia, the only file formats that the 8GB Pilot currently supports are MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WMA DRM, WMA Pro, OGG, WAV, Audible, MPEG4 (30fps), WMV (30fps) and JPEG.

Hi transfer them back to your pc, use the software that you used originally to transfer the music, and you need to select in the settings and there will be somewhere that you click to Find all info or update info, It might get very long winded. without knowing which software you are using i can't help further.

Please contact the manufacturer's support site, if any firmware updates are available they will be there with instructions on how to install them. I really don't think you have a firmware problem here, but it is worth a try.

I'd recommend downloading the User's Manual. The instructions on how to connect the MP3 player to Bluetooth compatible headphones are located on pages 27-29 of the manual.

NOTE that the wireless headphones MUST be A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) compatible to use this feature. If your headphones are also AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) compatible then you will also be able to adjust some settings of the MP3 player (such as play/pause, skip forward/backward and control the volume) wirelessly. Check the documentation on your headphones to ensure compatability.

On some systems, the usb does not supply enough power for battery charging, so it briefly comes on, then goes off. Also there are power adapters with a USB plug on them for charging things that use the USB for power. You may have to end up buying one. Though they are very usefull now that more and more devices use the USB for battery charging power.

Try this solution

BE SURE NOT TO DELETE YOUR FIRWARE, ONLY THE SONGS,FILES,ETC.

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BE CAREFUL and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Start pilot with SD card installed. It should boot to SD card files. Go to settings and format internal drive. Be sure player is fully charged.

Have you tried "0000"...for the most part, that's the default for most bluetooth devices.

You can download a copy of the owner's manual here. The letter "r" after the model number only indicates the color of the player, not a different model altogether.

If you delete/formats the media present on the external memory, you would not be able to access/play it in future... If you want to format/delete the data on the present on the memory card, do make sure that you have the data saved at some place (backup)...

Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer.

Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.

Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.

In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.

Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.

Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.
