Frigidaire 20.3 Cu. Ft. Frost-Free Upright Freezer - White Questions & Answers
How to test a frigidaire Freezer electronic control circuit board p/n 451704000
You can try reseating the controller. UNPLUG THE FREEZER FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET. Get a wide putty knife and insert it between the door and the controller bezel on the right side of the controller. Pry the controller out toward the top first (comes out easily) by twisting the putty knife handle so the top of the controller pops out and then grab the controller toward the bottom and pull it out as straight as you can. Get some dielectric grease and put it on the pins at the bottom on the back of the controller you removed from the door. Alternately, you could put wd40 on a cotton cloth and wipe the contacts. Make sure not the leave any debris on the pins other than a little bit of grease or wd40. Insert the controller back into the door and plug the freezer electrical cord back into the outlet.
I had some problems with the line voltage coming in my house. For a while the lights would flicker. I believe that this was a contributor to the problems I had with my freezer, which have lasted about five months now. I would intermittently find that the display was all lit up or that the led number segments would be dark, but a little red led was lit. Simply unplugging and replugging at the electrical outlet seemed to do the trick. Finally it seemed like it completely malfunctioned, not restarting after unplugging and replugging. Just dead. I finally pulled off the controller and put the dielectric grease on the pins and then whalla, it came on again without issue...well for 15 minutes so far.
I had a feeling that the issue was the controller all along because the freezer itself never seemed to have any problem getting cold or setting the temp, just this problem of shutting down every so often (2-5 times a week). I'll post back again with an update.

Hello Michael - Sounds like the temperature control was
accidently turned OFF. When this occurs the temperature control turns off the
compressor, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb or other
electronics. Let's try activating the freezer by pressing the UP arrow until
display shows "4" or desired setting. Allow 24 hours for temperature to
stabilize. For future reference you can lock the control to keep from accidently
changing the temperature setting. I ask that you please follow up with a
comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting
is needed or if the unit's status has changed successfully. Thank you.
Why is the temperature alarm light on, on my freezer Model# FFU21M8CW?
Good Afternoon Friend,
I understand that the temperature alarm light is on for your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU21M8CW. This feature is designed to provide a warning of a possible malfunction. If the temperature of the food rises to a level unsafe for long-term storage, the buzzer will sound. The red light, if equipped, will also glow. The Temp Alarm feature operates on household electricity. If power fails, the alarm will not function. An ON/OFF switch allows you to deactivate the Temp Alarm when not wanted. Your freezer is shipped with the Temp Alarm in the OFF position. After your freezer has run approximately 4 hours, the red light, if equipped, will go off. Then you may activate the Temp Alarm without the alarm sounding. Press the ON switch to activate the Temp Alarm. To deactivate, press the OFF switch. If the alarm sounds, be sure freezer is properly leveled, and the door closes freely, and seals properly. If you suspect a technical malfunction, call an authorized servicer immediately. Hope this is helpful.

Freezer Will not freeze in some areas
Check the door gasket near those shelves.
Make sure the condenser fins or tubes have adequate air flow for cooling (it looks a bit like a small but fat car radiator). In most freezers, this will be in the bottom in the back. You may have to remove a vented cover to check this. Usually there is a fan blowing air through the condenser. Carefully vacuum out any dirt in the condenser (the fins are delicate and bend easily), and verify that the fan runs smoothly when the compressor is running.
Put a thermometer in the freezer right by the cold air inlet to verify that the refrigerant is doing its job. It should read 0 degrees F. or below (-18 degrees C). If it doesn't get down that far, the compressor needs to be recharged or replaced.
If the door has been hit hard (somebody falling and slamming into it) the door insulation may be damaged there. Check to see if the outside of the door feels cold there compared to the rest of the door. If it does, the door needs to be repaired or replaced.
Hi. We've got used ("as is") Electrolux Frigidaire
Not sure if u still need help but the first thing I would do is remove the grills on the front and back and vacuum out the fins on the condenser...dust and grime collects here and will cause the unit to overheat and not cool properly....sometimes an air compressor can be used or air in a can for the hard to reach places.
Tr this and see what happens...good luck
How to unlock control panel LFFH21F7HWG?
Press and hold the Control Lock key for three seconds
to activate or deactivate the function. The Control Lock
feature prevents the user from changing the temperature
and freeze settings. At the first press of any key, the
key press click tone will be heard and the display will
show "LO", but no other change will take place. Holding
the Control Lock key for three seconds will activate or
deactivate the Control Lock feature. After three seconds,
the accept tone sounds and the Control Lock LED (if so
equipped) is activated. In lockout mode, when any key
is pressed, the invalid key tone will be heard and "LO"
will be displayed for 1 second. When the lockout is
deactivated, the Control Lock LED is turned off and the
display shows "UL"
if this does not work unplug the freezer for 30seconds then plug it in. if all of the above fails replace the control.
Cooling problem
if this control is in the freezer, in the middle, rear wall..its a damper control and its ok
Why a Frigidaire freezer seems to be stuck in defrost model number LFFU17F5HWC
Good Morning Friend,
I understand that your Frigidaire freezer, model# LFFU17F5HWC, seems to be stuck in a defrost mode. Your freezer is supposed to automatically defrost for 30 minutes after every 12 hours of compressor run time. I suggest resetting your appliance, be either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and watch to see if it is still stuck in defrost mode. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
