Try Holding the Power Button for 20 sec for a Power Reset of the device ,Turn on the Player ,hold the Power button for 5 sec.

Please follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the Back button on touchpad to return to the Main Menu.
2. Tap on the Right touch point until you get to last menu item, which is Settings.
3. Tap the Center touch point to select Settings.
4. Scroll down until you find USB mode and select the item above it. The Language Setting selection is one item above USB Mode.

I would return the item for exchange covered under the warranty, it is clear this is a manufacture issue.

I just bought a fuze
Have you tried the different USB settings available on your Fuze? On the Fuze select Settings / System Settings/ USB Mode. If yours is set on MSC try MTP & visa versa. That may fix you up.
Granddaughter lost cord that plugs
Hi mzcowans64,
You can get the cord in any shot which sells MP3 players.
I would recommend you to check in a store from where this MP3 player was bought or any shop which sells sandisk Mp3 players.
