to connect to your computer your phone must be in mass storage mode,,, to do so you must go to the menu then phone settings now open icon that say connectivity, now selected usb connection mode, inside you will have 2 choices make sure it is on the one that says mass storage then hit select ,,,your done,,,,,,,,but make sure your phones not connected to the computer while you do this or it will not change connection. hope it helps.

if you have bluetooth on both your phone and laptop you can transfer that way. Alternatively you should have got a USB cable included with your phone.

hi, even i have the same problem, probably i don't think the flash doesn't work, but even i didn't know how to use it. however, the instruction manual says there are 3 options in flash, they are auto- that is it turns flash automatically on when it turns on. red eye reduction that is it says it will flash twice to reduce red eye but i never see the flash on and the flash off, that is it will not turn on and usually whenever you exit the camera the flash will default to turn off mode. you will need to switch the flash back. hope you understand.

If you know that the phone is having problems with software:

Turn on the Gang image mode on. Do this by holding the red phone button + C + green call button + lock button at the side of the phone. Hold all these buttons at the same time so the screen becomes yellow saying "Gang image mode".

Next download EFS explorer onto your computer, connect your phone with the USB cable. You should be able to access your phone. There are other sites which tell you what to do more clearly.

The light mode must set to electric light.

It sounds as though the phone is locked. When I had this happen to my Samsung A707, I had to send it back to Samsung to get it reprogrammed. (There are people who have bought the necessary hardware to interface with a mobile phone's OS, but I preferred Samsung themselves.) This was a free service (except for shipping) from Samsung. If you contact Motorola, they might be able to simply reprogram the phone for you.

Failing that there is a servce offered by a few phone unlockers wherby they connect thru your pc to which you have attached your viewty by usb and they are able to access it to complete the unlock remotely,needs xp tho,not vista,costs approx £5

Change to usb mode

To change the USB Connection Mode:

Go to the menu > 4th tab > Phone settings > Connectivity > USB connection mode

the magnetic closer may be causing interference with the units ability to stay connected to service..if thats the issue it will constantly be searching for a signal which sucks power to do..like being in a metal enclosure and getting reduced bars..

When you place a new or a existing SIM card from another phone provider into your mobile phone and it asks for a Security code then :-
This phone is locked to the original mobile phone provider. You need to contact this mobile provider to ask for the unlock code (security code) for this phone. You need to provide proof of ownership etc and the phone's unique IMEI number which is located inside the phone under the battery. They use this number to generate the unlock code for your phone.
They should provide you with instructions on how to enter this code into the phone.
Once you unlock the phone, then you can insert a new SIM card in this phone or sign up with another phone provider using this phone.
You could ring the phone provider and ask for the unlock security code because you are going overseas and wish to use your phone with a prepaid SIM card from another country. This maybe a free service.
The other way to get your phone unlock is to use a phone unlocking company on the Internet, they usually charge a couple of Dollars for their services. Use Google and search for "Security unlocking code” in your area.

Sorry, no solution here. My LG840G TracFone giving me similar problem. When I plug in the data cord the phone displays, "INSERT MEMORY CARD FOR USE AS MASS STORAGE." It's ALREADY inserted, for Pete's sake!!! What's up with THAT???
