Had a power outage does not turn on is there a reset

Hello - I understand the unit has previously experienced a power outage, however have you try unplugging the unit or flipping the household breaker off? Wait approximately ten minutes; is there power to the unit? I suggest touching each button individually on keypad, do any lights turn on or does the display change? If any proves to be ineffective, I would recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately because it can possibly have a defective keypad.

Dishes not drying

If the unit is not drying nor cleaning properly, there are two main things to check first. Is the incoming water temperature at least 120F (49C)? If not, I strongly suggest that the temperature be adjusted on your water heater. Are you using rinse aid? Use a rinse agent to increase drying performance and using Sanitize or Air Dry Off mode also helps improve drying. If any proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately. Unit may have an issue with the heating element or a communication problem with the board not responding.

Blinking lights on frigidaire dishwasher

Hello - Try resetting the dishwasher by disconnecting the power to the unit. This will clear most flashing lights. You can disconnect power by flipping the circuit house breaker off and back on for approximately two minutes. If this does not prove to be successful, contact a professional to move forward accurately. Dishwasher could possibly have a faulty control board or wiring failure.

The upper spray arm came off. How to I put it back on?

I realize this problem was in March of 2008 but if in the case someone else needs the solution. The Frigidaire website doesn't list this in there troubleshooting list either.

I had the same problem and let the upper spray arm off for a couple of months. My glasses were not getting cleaned as well so I was rewashing everything by hand. What's the point of that if I have a dishwasher.

On the inner roof of the dishwasher there is a round piece that you hook the upper spray arm to. Well it's a pain to try to just snap it on. Unscrew it by hand, get the little white plastic piece so the teeth are pointing out of the hole and snap on it on that way. One tooth at a time and it should go back on. It will be wobbly. Works like new I am so happy !

From now on be careful what you place on the top rack, if the item is too big it will cause it to snap off again. I know I will :)

Thank god I didn't get a repair man in here for something as minimal as that.

Part 1544681 has come off. Cannot reattach.

I have had the same problem twice. After paying for a replacement part and waiting for it to arrive once, i decided to try fixing it myself and came up with a fix that works realy well dispite the manufactures bad design. I used a small "Butterfly" bolt.23345fe.jpg Grind down the wings so they will rest only on the inside rim and allow the part to spin. Cut the bolt to the proper langth. Drill a through the middle of the larg part and use the bolt to hold it all together. Water can still pass around the bolt. Hope this helps.

Sink backs up with water when running faucet, dishwasher does not drain, all pipes under sink clear

We had this problem and found out that the pipe leading away from the house was clogged. Have a plumber look (with a camera) down your clean out, and see if that is the problem. They can snake it from the clean out and clear out tree roots or whatever is the problem.

How do I get the heating element out

Hello, click this link for your schematic http://c.searspartsdirect.com/lis_png/PLDM/R0608160-00004.png you would have to first deinstall the unit which would mean disconnect the power and the drain line and unscrew any set screws that hold the unit to your cabinet as well. You would then pull the unit out and remove the toe kick plate first before you pull the unit out some are able to reach with smaller hands and disconnect the heater wires. Preferbly I pull the unit out due to big hands and arms issue lol. After you disconnected the heater wires you would then remove clip 2 on the diagram and lift the heater upwards and remove the heater. You would perform the reverse in order to install the new heater. If you have any further questions message me back and please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future. Thanks Rick

Dishes are not getting clean. Dishwasher does not

There could be a couple of things that might be affecting the cleaning ability of your dishwasher.
First, there is a pipe/tube that runs up the back of the inside of your dishwasher. This provides water for the top spray arm. The spray arm has a feeder tube that covers the pipe in the back. If for some reason the feeder tube has come dislodged, the water just drips back down into the dishwasher, never touching your upper shelf. My children used to put large items into the lower shelf and in so doing, would dislodge the upper spray arm feeder tube. Just pull out the upper shelf and check to see that the tube is in the correct position. This should solve the problem.

If not, it could be that the upper or lower spray arms may have debris that keeps the water from being forced through the jets. You'll need to flush the arm with the spray attachment on your kitchen sink. I sometimes use tweezers or a toothpick to dislodge bits of peelings, paper, or bone that manage to get into the sprayer arm.
I hope one of these tips helps. If it does, please come back to fixya and rate my answer.

The water is not draining

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

I just install brand new

Hello.

WHen installing your machine it should have a high loop in the drain hose that means the drain hose under the sink is higher at one point that the drain its attached too with a corregated hose this is very easy to usea plastic zip tie and attatch a part of the hose to a higher point than where it connects to the drain. DID YOU DO THAT ?? if not that very likely is your trouble

Hope this helps
