Isolate possible problems one by one. 1. Check power adaptor if LED is on. If on, it "might" be working. The wire from the power adaptor might be problematic but we have no way of checking this unless you disassemble the power adaptor and test it for continuity. 2. If power adaptor is ok, take out the battery and connect power adaptor to unit. Turn on laptop. Indicator LED on the unit near the infrared port on the front of the unit should light up. 3. If power is not the problem, unplug unit. 4. Open back panel and try cleaning the memory modules. Take them out and rub rubber eraser on the modules' connectors. 5. If it still doesn't boot up, bring to qualified service personnel. The motherboard may be problematic.

Turn off computer for 5 minutes. Turn on computer and let it boot to desktop. Click on START, click on COMPUTER, right click on C drive. Panel will indicate PROPERTIES at the bottom of this panel. Click on it. Look at the top of this next panel and click on TOOLS. Do a clean up.. Then under tools click on the 1st of 3 options shown. Check both boxes. Wait another panel will come up saying it will perform this function on next restart. Click OK. Restart/reboot computer, wait for all 5 steps of this program to complete. The boot procedure will continue when this is complete.

What you are seeing is the offline web page view. It is not actual internet unless you can search through different sites. There should be a light just below your screen what will allow you to turn wireless on or off. Or search your computer files for wireless assistant aka WLAN

I would install Windows and see what happens.

try configuring Boot Preference in BIOS....

try Opening you BIOS at startup try configuring the boot preferences, make your disk containing os to first one....

Check the driver maybe not working

Steps for Clearing BIOS Password Check

If users set BIOS Password ( Supervisor Password and/or User Password ) for a security reason, BIOS will
ask the password during systems POST or when systems enter to BIOS Setup menu. However, once it is
necessary to bypass the password check, users need to short the HW Gap to clear the password by the
following steps:

q Power Off a system, and remove HDD, AC and Battery from the machine.

q Open the back cover of the machine, and find out the HW Gap on M/B as picture.

q Use an electric conductivity tool to short the two points of the HW Gap.

q Plug in AC, keep the short condition on the HW Gap, and press Power Button to power on the
system till BIOS POST finish. Then remove the tool from the HW Gap.

q Restart system. Press F2 key to enter BIOS Setup menu.

q If there is no Password request, BIOS Password is cleared. Otherwise, please follow the steps and
try again.

NOTE: The steps are only for clearing BIOS Password ( Supervisor Password and User Password ).

Below is the picture of the Jumper location by the memory modules. These two points have to be "shorted".

Bios password can usually reset by removing laptop battery and clock battery from motherboard, but HDD password as i know cant remove. You should change your HDD.

The password to by-pass bios password are these, hope they will hope you, once you enter BIOS using these passwords you can reset it to normal

Order a hard drive from amazon and restore disks from Acer then remove the cmos battery and regular battery from laptop then hold thepower button down for 30 seconds while the batteries are out to drain the capacitors. reinsert batteries and power on bios should be reset and you can use your restore disks to reload the computer
