Saying tv doesn't have signal
Check the aerial installation is ok, try another aerial on the set, maybe an indoor one.If the set is analogue/digital check that it is set to the correct source, somebody may have inadvertently fet it incorrectly.
If all fails try resetting to factory default through the remote control menus, the option will be there somewhere.
If that does not sort it, you will probably need the services of a technician.
Two or three heads are better than one, ask friends for suggestions too
Good Luck with it

Troubleshooting for TV with sound but no picture
Please provide me Troubleshooting for tv that has sound but no picture
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

In some models of LCD TVS; the backlight inverter and its T'Con board will be a part of the panel itself, and will be a built-in type inside the LCD panel. If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should be troubles hooted. Contact any service technician. The circuit will differ with models and versions.
Type in the brand name of your device, in the search box [at the top right] of the display window and the Search will start at once as you type in, and will show you all the related posts. It will make surf easy.

As I understand it, Polaroid TV's sometimes work with the Mitsubishi codes. You may give this a try. You may also e-mail Polaroid direct at www.polaroidelectronics.com contact page to find out what codes should be used (may match a different manufacturer)

When I try to turn
Hi,
Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Take care in solving the problem.....

I turn on the TV
Look on the power supply for swollen capacitors. YOU will normally see 2 . replace with new ones. Also look at the heavy white wire that comes from the power supply, this would be your supply to lamps. I have had these burn and cause this defect.
Please leave feedback

MY REMOTE CONTROL WILL NOT
Hello,
While the remote does not work with the TV, does the volume and other buttons on the TV works?
If the buttons on the TV works, then it means the problem is either from the remote control or the TV sensor/infrared.
Borrow a remote from a friend that uses the same TV as yours, use it to test the TV and if it responds, then you will have to get another remote.
If it doesn't work, then it means the sensor/infrared on your TV is the one that is failing.
Lastly, check your remote control, make sure the battery terminal is not rust, if its rust, use a flat screw driver to scratch it. You can further disassemble the remote control, check the panel in the remote and make sure there is no loosed wire or connection.
A thorough troubleshooting will direct you the problem.
Good luck.

Hi
Our 42 polaroid which we
The problem you have described is an interference issue and not a problem with the tv. HDMi cables are ultra sensitive to electrical interference. Do you have a powercable running parallel to HDMI cable you use to connect your DVD player? Also check if there are anyother devices such as a microwave that can interfere with proper functioning of the tv.

When turns on, tv gets off
There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Check to see if you get any DC voltage on the output connectors.
