Refrigerator has power supply, but nothing works
Hi fred_n705, thank you for your post!
From what you have described, it sounds like you either have a communication problem with the control board, faulty temperature control, or sealed system issue. This is not a typical DIY job. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause. You can often locate a qualified service provider through the manufacturer website.
Best regards!

first of all any type of refridgeration cools or freezes by removing heat and humidity by moving air across a cold coil. so when the unit cycles into defrost mode the water drains down to the bottom of the unit into a shallow pan where it evaporates. by use of the heat from the compressor and a small fan. the pan is acessable by removing the grill below the doors. then use a flashlight to locate where it drains into pan and yes remove as much of the dust and dirt as you can using a vacum or duster. it will run more efficiently saving you electricity. HOWEVER, I have a completely different theory. Because you said it only leaks when the ice is at a certain level. I would first find the water valve that supplys water to your fridge under sink or possibly branching off your water heater it will be a small valve with a small water line. turn it off if your water leak dries up. look in your yellow pages for a appliances, parts store. they should be able to fix you up with the fridge... valve you need and tell you how to find and replace it. it is not a difficult at all. good luck .. p.s. if i am correct you should notice your new ice cubes will be a little smaller........................

NO ICE CUBE PRODUCTION
Check the water filter - may need to be replaced. Check your water connections for loose areas or water leaking. Might not be getting enough water. Check freezer temperature. If the temperature rises it will not produce ice at all.
Water flow
check the heater in the fridge compartment as it is on a timer to defrost the water line that goes through the rear compartment and allows the water to flow
Model FRS26ZRF---Water forming ice block on bottom of freezer
I ll tell you whats going to happen . the clean coils will helt it to freeze up sooner . that part is good / but the ice problem is a defrost problem caused by the heater or defrost control failure . so keep on working your not done yet .. .you will find the heater and defrost terminater inside the fack of freezer .. mm
Frigidair FRS26ZRFW3 to warm, I replaced the
Hi; Yes this is easy, with the unit running You should feel coldddd air comming from the vent from the freezer side. This is also adjustable usually. See the freezer uses a fan to force air over to the cooler. If the unit is running and You dont feel air flow then check for over stocking in the freezer compartment covering the air intake holes...alpharome416
Fridge Starter is melting & oil puddle in back
I advise checking the capacitor with a multimeter. Unplug the fridge. Disconnect and remove the starter capacitor. If it is wet or oily, replace it. If not, set meter to "resistance" or "ohmmeter" and dial up 1k ohms. Take a screwdriver with an insulated handle and use it to short (connect together by way of the shaft of the screwdriver) across the two terminals. Now, touch the meter leads to the starter cap. terminals. The meter needle should swing from very low ohms up to infinity. Now, reverse the leads and do the same thing. You should see the same indication. If you do, the starter is good and your problem lies elsewhere. If you see a constant infinity or max ohms or a constant 0 ohms then your capacitor is open or shorted. In either case, replace the starter. Do not remove any access panels or covers or otherwise stick your hand into the refrigerator until it is UNPLUGGED! Safety first!
OR, you could remember that it is Christmas and take pity on a local retailer by going down and buying yourself a shiny new refrigerator. We just got a new LG and we love the thing!
NO ICE OR WATER. WATER IS GOING TO THE REFRIG.
First, shut off the water coming to the fridge at the wall. Now, disconnect the water connection from back of fridge and check to see if there is a clogged strainer or inline filter at or before the connection to the fridge. Check flow by holding the supply hose over an empty pitcher and turning the supply gently back on. If pressure and flow are adequate, turn the water off and reconnect the supply back to the back of the refrigerator.
Next, remove the water filter from the fridge, (it should be in the upper right corner of the fresh food compartment) examine it to determine whether it is plugged. If not, empty as much of it as you can out of the ports on the back by shaking it over the sink or taking it outside. Now, put the filter back in, close the door and check for water. If none comes out of the dispenser, remove the filter again and see if it filled back up with water. If not, the problem is likely the inlet valve, an electrically operated valve right where the water comes into the fridge. You have to unplug the refrigerator, disconnect the water lines at both ends, pull the wires (there are 2) off the spade connectors on the valve and reconnect a new one. They are about 50 bucks or so. I doubt the problem is with a dispensing switch as I think you would not be deprived of ice. The fact that both ice and water are out lead me to believe you have a clog or a bad inlet valve. Best of luck tracking this one down and let us know if it worked! Merry Christmas.
Freezer and fridge compartment not getting cool,
If it's working, you should be able to hear it.
There should be an access panel in the freezer. The fan should be behind this panel. Remove the panel and look at the fan. If it's not turning, you will have to replace the fan motor.
Frs26zrf not cooling at all.
Hi there,
The most common reason for the failure is a problem with the self defrost feature of the refrigerator. This will cause ice to form on the evaporator coils that are located in the back of the freezer compartment. Defrost failure is often caused by a failed defrost timer or adaptive defrost control depending on the model of the refrigerator. If the defrost timer is not the problem the defrost heater or the defrost heater thermostat can also be the problem. These are located in the freezer compartment and can be accessed by removing the back panel inside the freezer compartment. These can be checked for opens with a volt/ohm meter. There is a fan in the freezer compartment that blows the cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator section to cool it. Make sure this fan is working.
Good Luck!!
Thanks
