Hi guys, Error code 5B00 indicates absorber full error. To fix this problem you need to reset waste absorber counter and replace waste ink absorber. Unfortunately you don't write the printer model so I cannot write reset procedure here.

Hi, you can try to reload the software for the printer, first uninstall software and start anew. This did work for me when error codes keep coming up. All the best.

Hi re-installing software probably would not achieve anything, doesn't sound like driver problem. IF you refilled the colour cartridge and it's displaying 'ink low' or 'ink out', it's perfectly normal. You can disable the ink monitoring by pressing & holding the STOP button (on printer) until the 'Alarm' LED stops glowing. This takes about 6 seconds. IF the colour cartridge is new and should read full, contact Canon. It could be a faulty cartridge. good luck!

Hi .if you have your printer connected to your PC you should still be able to scan into your PC . I don't think that running out of ink will make any difference unless you want to print what you scan . Scanning is not making copies it is just scanning into a PC you don't use ink to do that.

If the clean cycle on the printer software utilities does not fix then you need a new cartridge

The only reason to call the phone company is if you're not getting a dial tone on that line. Otherwise, have you shut down the printer and tried to reset it to factory defaults. To do that, follow the instructions below:

• 1 Switch the Canon MX310 off using the "Power" button, then push the "Stop/Reset" button on the control panel. Hold the button down for about five seconds.
• 2 Push the "Power" button while holding "Stop/Reset." Hold down both buttons for five seconds.
• 3 Release "Stop/Reset" while holding down the "Power" button.
• 4 Push "Stop/Reset" twice while continuing to hold the "Power" button. Release the "Power" button. The power light will turn green.
• 5 Once the light is steady green, push "Stop/Reset." Wait about three seconds and push it again. Wait three more seconds and push it one final time, for a total of three times. The power light will turn orange.
• 6 Push the "Power" button, then lift the MX310 cover open.
• 7 Remove both ink cartridges and wait 10 seconds. Replace the cartridges and close the MX310 cover. Wait 30 seconds.
• 8 Push the "Power" button. Wait a few seconds to allow the printer to fully power down, then switch the Canon MX310 back on using the "Power" button.

Yes! It starts drying out and doesn't flow as it should.

I had the same problem.

My INK Level was Low and I had the setting "Fax Setting -> RX Setting -> Auto Print ON -> Print when no ink OFF", and so the report would not print due to the ink level being low.

Solution:
Configure "Fax Setting -> RX Setting -> Auto Print ON -> Print when no ink to ON", and the report will be printed immediately, and the message will disappear.

function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)

try to uninstall then reinstall the printer software.

make sure that scan driver is completely installed in your computer.

To scan a documents in jpeg format, use the scanner icon in the control panel of your system. Insert your document in scanner bed then double click the scanners & cameras icon in the Control Panel.

To scan a documents and save in pdf format. just press the Scan button in the printer and save the documents in your computer once the scan window appear.

Check your cable connection then see if your computer identifies new devices. If you have a disk for a driver for that device install that, otherwise do a google search for a driver for your product and download that.

When you go to save it or just before that you select file then go to print properties under that there should be a selection to print it in black and white.

Looks feeder is broken. Even having the repair kit probably you don't have the technical knowledge to dismount your printer and change the broken piece so you should take it to an authorized Cannon repair shop

I would check with your phone service provider to check for any fault on the line . I had the same problem with my phone and it was a fault with line . It was alright a couple of days later . The bt engineering team discovered it was a fault underground

De-power it from mains for 30 seconds. If it remains blank when repowered it's faulty.

The Canon Pixma MP 140 series. I know that because I have one myself. . It takes thr CL 41 which is the Colour cartridge and the PG 40 which is the black one.
