Waterline on back of refridgerator keeps popping out and leaking

There should be a compression fitting that seals the water tube to the fridge. The fitting looks like a brass or plastic nut that the tubing sticks into. Shut off water supply to the fridge and carefully remove the fitting nut...there should be cone shaped compression ring inside the fitting nut. Slide the nut over the tube, then the compression ring over the tube. If the compression ring is tapered towards one end, then put the narrow end towards the end of the tube. Now stick the tube up to the fitting on the fridge where the nut screws on to the fridge. Hold the tubing firmly against the fitting and slide the compression ring and nut up to the fitting and screw the nut back on (compression ring should be inside the nut). You must hold the tubing firmly against the fitting until you get the nut tightened back down good with a wrench. This should take care of it.

If you find that the tip of your tube end is damaged, then you may have to cut off the tip of the tube to get it to seal and hold. If you find that the compression ring is damaged (won't slide over the tubing) or missing, then you can go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a new nut and compression ring...they are cheap. You can also get new tubing there if you need it.

My frigidaire side by side freezer freezes up and

the leaking water is the problem. it needs to be fixed, but till then defrost again, use a fan it speeds the process, SHUT OF WTER to ice maker. restart fridge it will work normally. now find parts needed to fix the ice maker water feed. the leaking water overwhelms the defroster. and causes a coil freeze up, this impedes cooling and air circulation over the evaporator coils

The temp reads 65f. when I change it to 0-33 it goes back to 65f

Thank you for your post, janet!

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator is not displaying the correct temperature. Is it cooling? If it is cooling it could be an issue with your control panel or thermostat not registering the appropriate temperature within your refrigerator. I would suggest performing a reset on your refrigerator and you can do that by disconnecting power from it for ten minutes. If you continue to experience a display problem or that refrigerator is not cooling I would recommend reaching out to a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you to avoid purchasing unnecessary parts. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Why is refrig so cold its freezing liquids

Good Morning Friend, I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FRS23KF7AB, is so cold that it is freezing liquids inside the refrigerator area. I also see that you have it set on the warmest setting. First, I suggest setting the controls to the factory setting. Secondly, reset your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, leave the setting on the factory setting, and give your refrigerator 24 hours to stabilize at the factory setting. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

My icemaker is dispensing pink colored cubes.

First of all do not use these pink cubes or drink any water coming from the same source until the cause is nailed down. It could be as simple as making four full bins of ice, discarding each, until the cubes are normal. It could be that your ice maker is fed with a little 1/4 inch plastic line, no longer recommended, which is making the ice pink. [if that is the case change out the plastic with a braided stainless steel line. it will improve the quality of your water now and never ever break on you].

OR it could be a serious problem like water from your toilet tank being drawn back into your fresh water supply. All that being said, begin by not using the cubes and letting the machine produce four bins of ice which u discard. That is the most common fix.

good luck

please rate my anwser as a fixya! thanks

Frigidaire JSI-26 refrigerator side does not keep cold. Freezer works fine...

they share the same compressor so either the fridge air demand switch is faulty or more likely you have faulty thermistors.

My frigidaire ice maker is not freezing the water

Hello - Water coming from the dispenser should not be warmer then room temperature. If it is so then I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately. The unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with the water control valve or seal system.

We first noticed the freezer

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

Freezer is running constantly. ice

the door was left open,if you find frozen water droplets on the food packages or ice crystals it forms from the warm air coming in,make sure all the packages are pushed in and not hitting the door and you can tilt the fridge back a little so the door will close with a slight push.also check the ice shout door and make sure no air is leaking through it,you'll know you'll see all ice around it.you can check the condenser coil and condenser fan to see if it needs to be vacuumed, the machine will run longer if the coil is clogged with dust or if the fan isn't blowing, the coil should be cleaned every 6 to 12 months.hope this helps but it sounds like the freezer door was left open.

Ice maker not dispensing

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.

Hello. I recently

If you can find a hose that will fit the water line you can flush it out. But the most likely problem is that the filter that you bought was defective and the white particles are coming for it. If you can test it without the filter, to see if the water is clear or not, will tell you whether you should take the filter back and complain.
