Fuji Finepix S5800 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
Saying i have no images when I do
Check card to see if you have reached maximum saturation. If so you may have to start dumping files or backing up elsewhere to make space for more images.
What is a protected card
SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
1GB sd card
Can you read the card in another piece of equipment?
If not the card itself may be damaged.
Flash fault S5800
If blub not flashing then its a flash tube cut off & need replacement.
Can I increase the 72dpi to 300dpi on my FinePix S7000 Camera?
No. DPI (dots per inch) only has meaning when you output a photo. It can control how large a print you make. A 4x6 print will have more DPI than an 8x10 print made from the same photo, since they both have the same number of dots but different numbers on inches. You control the DPI when selecting the size of the print, not when you take the photo.
I took a video with my finepix s5800 on vertical
There is some very expensive video editing software that can accomplish this at some severe loss of quality but I can't imagine anyone spending that kind of money to turn a video. In the future, remember that videos are shot horizontally, not vertically.
Hi my computer is not
Is this the first time you've connected it?
Did a data CD come with the camera? Still got it?
If so, insert it into the computer and follow the on-screen instructions that should soon appear.
This is loading an 'operating driver' for the camera to be 'recognized' by the computer in all future use.
Alternatively, remove the camera memory card and put it in a card reader, a device available very cheaply from five & dime stores upwards (or Poundland if you're in the UK)
This will be recognized instantly by an USB 2.0 and upwards connector on a computer.
