Sony Bravia KDL 52 keeps turning itself OFF
i had prob where my sony would switch off for a few secs thenh come back on . The solution was in menu / tv settings / sleep timer . Go into that and make sure its set to off. there are opions for off , 5 min 20 min 30 min etc... mine was set to nothing just blank.
Sony 52 inch bravia picture went dark
Hate to give you some bad news...But most likely you have a defective screen. You may be lucky and just have a bad T-con board. Which will do the same thing. But, this is a slim chance of it being the issue. As I have had many of these with bad screens. And only 2 were the T-con board which the color was off and pict was darker than normal. It is the board at the top center of the TV.

To reset the tv to factory/ default settings, please follow below procedure.
Turn On the TV, while holding down Up Arrow on the remote control, press Power button on TV, tv will turn itself Off then back On again, release Up Arrow on remote control.
This procedure will reset all settings in tv to default settings.
Problem seems with lcd panel and I'm afraid it does not seems to get solved by resetting tv however try to reset tv by above said procedure.

Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.
To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).
