This is the indicator that suggests that it is time to change the water filter.

After 5 months of operation, the indicator shows as light pink. At this point, it is a reminder to aquire a replacement filter,

After 6 months of operation, the indicator turns to red. This is now the suggested time to change the indicator.

Even if you aren't using the water, the filter indicator still lights as this is simply a timer and does not measure water flow through the filter.

To reset the indicator, press and hold the Fridge and Power Cool buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. These 2 buttons are on the right side of the display panel. They are the first 2 buttons to the right of this indicator.

Printed on the panel, there is a line connecting the buttons with a miniature of the indicator in the middle. The instruction to hold the buttons for 3 seconds is printed below the buttons.

If you are referring to ice forming on the floor of the freezer, it's a result of a blocked defrost drain. Contact Maytag to send out an authorized service company to make repairs. There is a drain kit that is installed at no cost to you.

Was it leaking before changing the filter? It could be that the water valve in back is leaking a bit. Sometimes the valve gets a very small bit of grit in it and doesn't completely shut off. The way to tell is to remove the hose from the valve and see if water is dripping from it at the valve. If it isn't then maybe the water reservoir is partially frozen and causing a pressure build up in the reservoir. If this is the case the dripping should stop after a couple minutes. I would look at the valve.

The most common part to replace is the timer motor. It's usually located on the back bottom of fridge, It's a little thingy about 1 1/2 " in diameter. One screw will usually get it loose where you can take a look at it better to see if it's turning. It has a small window where you can see a little wheel turning.

Check the drain trough in the freezer. Sounds like heat is getting into the cabinet. If the drain is clogged chances are the grommet at the drain is missing or is damaged. Little rubber cap like part over the drain tube. It can not be open. . Check that after you check the drain.

It sounds like you have either a bad filter housing, a bad water inlet valve, or a loose washer at the shut off valve for the refrigerator water supply.

It is very rare to have a freon leak. It is possible but there are there are things that can cause the refrigerator not to get cold. Is the compressor running. Are the fans running. Is the freezer or refrigerator coils blocked with ice. Usually freon is the last place i look.

The filter is in the upper right/rear inside the fridge. I know, the filter is tough to get to and hard to turn, but there\'s an easier way. Remove the contents from and take out the upper right shelf. It tilts upward from the front then lifts from the rear mounting bracket. This allows you plenty of room to access the filter but still a tight fit. Use a jar opener (grip cloth), twist counter clockwise to remove; the bypass valve activates automatically. Screw in the replacement 1/4 turn and replace shelf & contents. Run off a few gallons via the dispenser to flush air and sediments from the system. Your Freezer calls for a harvest temperature of at least 16 degrees or lower. You are not reaching that temp. The condenser is probably dirty and needs to be cleaned. That is in the back of the unit. make sure the condenser fan is running also. it's a 12 volt motor. When they fail, they usually slow down. We have a different model Samsung, and I've heard a vibrating or buzzing noise twice. First, if the water filter isn't an exact fit (even Samsung's filters rattle), it will rattle. Second, if either of the ice makers gets stuck or jammed, it can make a vibrating noise. If our freezer drawer isn't making a good seal, ice will build up under the drawer or in the slides. Ours makes more of a humming noise, when this happens. Other areas to check: something stuck in the runner of your drawers or shelves (if yours pull out). There are also vents that draw air in and out of the cooling unit, and things in front of them may vibrate or rattle, too.

Swing arm alignment can be restored by resetting the ice maker. There is a reset on the bottom, near the front of the ice maker. HOLD it down through a complete cycle, about 8 seconds, then wait for the two-tone chime to indicate the reset is complete. Failing that, a new ice maker may be needed, the old one may need thawing or there is debris under the bin or arm stopping the cycle. I have actually tore this thing off by opening the freezer at the the exact moment it was cycling too, arrrrgh.
