Typically, this is not a do it yourself job, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. You would need to remove the ice storage bucket and dump the ice, check the corkscrew wire in the bucket for any signs of rust, some auger wires were chrome plated and not aluminum. If no rust there, remove the ice maker it's self and check the ice making mold for signs of rust. Replace all rusted parts found. Pleazer Appliance...

If there's a buzz then a click it's your overload opening when the compressor doesn't start. Most domestic fridges do not have capacitor assisted start on the compressor, they operate on low back pressure starting. A hard start kit might temporarily solve this . Bottom line your compressor is on the way out.

It's ether a bad thermister out thermostat or a damper stuck open I would guess.

Is there a sensor on the front? Clean it, it thinks there is a glass in place.

Hi!
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
It does a lot of clicking (trying to start over and over again)
If thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
I use part no ERP410 POWER START RELAY, CAPACITOR AND OVERLOAD all in one. (110 v)

The water has to first freeze before it will dump into the bucket. Once it is filled, it should stay filled depending on how much ice you use.
