Just buy one RCA RCR311B model remote control. Your JVC is listed with its codes. The codes are:
1009, 1010, 1024, 1048, 1052, 1058, 1063, 1064, 1084, 1109, 1119, 1133, 1140, 1189
You will get all details and codes along with the new remote control. All proceedings to synchronise the remote with TV will be described there with the broshure you get with this device. OK.

First you have to check if it TRANSMITS, the simplest way to verify is to point the remote to a digital camera and if you see flashing lights when looking at the remote with a digital camera while pressing buttons on the remote than it transmits... if not than it could be the batteries or the remote is defective, if you see the remote's transmitter LED's flashing than you need to re-program it...

You might try the Samsung code which is 12, I believe, for the Coby! They are the makers on Samsung TV components...

Hi, It seems you replace the bulb with non compatible one. Please check the old lamp code you can perfectly change with same code and model. Please observe the polarities while replace the bulb.

The television is lock in timer mode. are there any buttons on the front panel where you can get into the menu. If, so go where it says timer and turn it off and see if that helps you.

These are the steps on how to program your Universal Remote Control to your JVC TV even without the list of code.

1. Manually turn ON your TV.
2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
3. Press and release the TV button you want to set up
4. Release CODE SEARCH.
5. Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the TV turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
6. Once the TV turns off, press and release ENTER.
7. With the TV on, press any other button. If the TV responds, no further programming is required. If the TV does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

Take off the battery, open the back of your remote, lift the circuit board, clean the green painted part with cotton balls slightly damp with rubbing alcohol as well as the black thingy behind your remote pad, let it dry put it back together, replace with a new battery and try if it works.

Try unplugging for 2 mins. Or press power button for 30 seconds. Your Light in the tv might be shot.... happens every 5 or so years.
