We have a jenn-air fce70610w

Hi

The issue is either the elements itself gone bad and should be replaced or there is a loose/broken wire causing this issue. If both of them are fine then check this diagram....part no 5 is the ballast that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

F1-8 error

F1 indicates a clock or touch pad problem. F8 indicates a clock, or ERC (Electronic Range Control) problem. Are you receiving both codes? If so it seems likely that your touch pad and ERC are contained together in one module, and must be replaced. If you find however that they are separate modules it is possible to determine which is faulty by simply disconnecting power to the unit, disconnecting the touch pad from the ERC, and then powering it back up. Wait for a half hour or so to see if the unit sets the error code again with the touch pad disconnected. If it does the ERC is faulty, otherwise it is the touch pad.

Please note that if you do not have experience mucking about in your appliances inner workings it is best that this be done by an experienced technician.

To do this you will need an expert to help you re-route the power supply of the fan and maybe the inclusion of a new switch as the old one has what it controls. Although it could be done so the switch still controls it if you dont want a new switch. First you have to isolate the fan power source this power source then you connect the cables to the switch where you want to control the fan from,
Hope this solution has been helpful?

If you can disconnect the power to the cook-top then do so..this will give you a little peace of mind...it seems like the switch for that burner is defective(eg: stuck in on position)..the switch is an integral part of the control that turns on the gas for the burner..you may need to replace the control assembly..these are available from appliance parts stores and on-line

No spark...tried washing to be sure it's

The ignitor module may have gone bad...this is a fairly common problem...Another thing you can do is to look at the ignitors where they come through..make sure that none of them is grounding out...this would cause no spark also....if you have the proper equipment, you can test the input voltage to the ignitor module to see if it has juice...if it does , then most likely the ignitor module...these are available from most appliance parts stores...or the manufacturer

My large burner at the front does not work, yet

Your front burner is fine. Assuming you have an electric cooktop the problem is in the switch that controls that burner. The infinite control switch. Replace it.

Hi dmoody... You will have to replace the ignitors. To get the ignitors and the button to raise the fan go to http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action and enter the model number of your Jenn-Air. You will see excellent diagrams with each part labeled and numbered.
You can then buy the parts you need there or call your local Jenn-Air dealer to compare prices.
