I want to know how

I do not know to what degree your cook top is disassembled. So I have include the diagrams of all the components. As is would be a rather long explanation to give you on how to reassemble everything only the diagrams are included. Sometimes that's all you need to reassemble things. However if you need specific's please just let me know exactly which section you need help with.

Also the listing is for JED 8430 and 87946 so if the diagrams don't look correct let me know.

Hope this helps.

JED9800CAS - BROKEN COOKTOP GLASS

You might be able to do the job yourself, but it can be quite challenging. You should definitely consider getting a tech to do it. Whether you'll save any by getting the part yourself depends on the repair outfit. However, if they order the part and it's wrong or something doesn't work out, they are responsible- not you. Some places might charge you for the extra callout if they have to make an xtra trip for wrong part.

My fan push button on My Jenn air glass cooktop

HI, The button is spring loaded. the mechanism is damaged. This will require you to replace the entire switch. There is no repair procedure for this type of damage. The spring has lost its structure. There are three styles. Most are recessive, and the glass should be removed, in order to dis-anchor the switch housing. If you can relay the entire model number, i will confirm the removal procedure. Thanks..

We have new house and have cold air coming from

Most stove vents have a diverter plate which prevents air from coming in. When the fan is turned on, this diverter is opened by the air flow and allows the air to flow through. It sounds like this plate is either stuck or was not installed when the ventilation duct was installed.

its would be best to install a damper
whether auto matic
or manuely operated
this is a common problem for the down draft
ive seen some people install things similar
to dryer vent louvers,
but check you exhaust area and still if you can block direct draft
but dont block it so that it cannot exhaust properly
