That is not a genuine Brother part. You need either LC40* or LC73*

turn the printer off. on your computer go to the print pages waiting to be printed, should be a printer icon in the bottom right of screen, right click and cancel all documents waiting to print.. then turn your printer back on..

Exchange it with a different colour and see if the problem moves to the new position. Its the INK Cartridge. If not then its the ink reservoir system faulty

if you are trying to use an ink cartridge that is not an original brother cartridge it wont recognise it try an original and see if that works

The 49 error code normally means ambient temperature too low. Is your printer in a very cold location? If so, try taking the printer to a warmer location and leaving for a few hours to warm all the components, then power on and try a nozzle (print quality) test from the maintenance menu.
