Either the wireless adapter is not turned on, or its not installed properly, what I mean is, while it probably is properly in its place and not disconnected from the computers mainboard, it could have a driver problem. You could check on that by right clicking on your my computer or computer icon on your desktop or find it from the start menu and right click on it. Select Manage from the list, from the management window, click on device manager on the left side.Now on the right side the device manager should be open, from there look / open 'network adapters' and or look for any devices for ? or ! or X mark over them, these all would indicate a problem or that the device is disabled.If there is a red X that means that the device is disabled right click on that device and select enable and your problem should be solved.if its a ? mark right click on it and select properties from the new window that opens read the status message and post it to me here and I can give you further instructions.If its anything else or if its not listed, or if it is listed, just post here and lets see what we can do.

On the Acer Aspire 5570z, there is a physical hardware switch on the front edge of the laptop. Look for where you plug in the headphones, microphone, etc. Just to the left of those headphones, microphone holes, you should see two switches. Of the two switches, the switch on the left is for bluetooth, the switch on the right is for wireless.There is an orange light to the right of the wireless switch. With the laptop on and Windows fully loaded you will see this light blink (somewhat slowly) when wireless is on. When wireless is off, the light will not blink except when Windows is initially loading, you will see it blink only once if you watch it carefully.In order to turn on wireless, you want to move the switch to the right and hold it there for a few seconds until the orange light starts blinking. The switch is spring loaded and will move back to the left when you let go. If the switch moves too easily to the left and right and is not spring loading back to the left when you let go then the switch is broken or misaligned in some way, you'll have to take the laptop apart and fix the switch, either by replacing it or fixing the alignment.

wireless capability on my acer laptop is a switch that you toggle on the front of the computer.

I suspect that you just need to slide the switch over and release to turn the light on for WiFi and also to turn the WiFi capability on.

It does have a microphone.

You should be able to turn it on by going into your sound options :

Down in the lower right-hand corner you should see your volume control icon. Double click on that and it will bring up your volume control panel. Your microphone control should be listed here. Just make sure to uncheck the mute box and turn it up.

You may have to go to "options" and check "microphone" to get it to show up.

You may also need to go into the sound options (Start->Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices) to enable the correct recording device. Once you're in this window select the Audio tab and make sure your microphone is selected as the default recording device.

That should do it.

Same problem... It's just that I don't even get the light glowing as internet is on on the start...

The toggle switch is on the front of your laptop next to the headset input jack. You can also try these keys pressed at the same time: fn F2. Not all aspire models have a toggle switch-it is optional on many.

REMOVE THE DRIVER THEN RE INSTALL AGAIN THE CAMERA DRIVER.. OR DONWLOAD FROM THE ITERNET THE INSTALL IT

Weather you using xp os means not needed to instal the external application for camera,Otherwise you must instal with external application with camera driver.
download the camera driver.

visit www.acer.co.in and then service and suppor and then driver download and then notebook and then your laptop series and then model number and then choose correct opertaing system and with
correct bit(weather it 32 or 64).
