Runs but not getting hot
check the gas supply pressure. if not within required pressure consult the gas company. if there is no problem with gas pressure get to the back of the unit to check the fuse for the gas solenoid valve that controls the flow of the gas. if solenoid valve is faulty, replace it with a good one . . if after installing a new solenoid valve unit still does not kick in , check the igniter . replace with a good one if it is broken , the unit should produce heat now .thanks.

Gas dryer does not dry in "timed Dry" setting
In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum
Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

Why won't my gas dryer heat?
Hi,
If your flame comes on for a few seconds & goes away, replace your solenoids. ($3.00)
If your flame doesn't come on at all, it could be the fuse(unsure of cost) Check the neg/pos lead with an OHM meter(multi meter), to see if there is continuity.
Let us know if this helps!

Gas Dryer Heat wont stay on.
Must be something in the blower section. You need to get into the dryer and clean it up. Air restrictions cause overheat condition. When the temp gets so high the limits shut it down. Lots of videos on you tube that show how to get into. You can google gas dryer dan webster or roper dryer no heat dan webster and I have some videos posted how to get into these. Gas dryer gets hot for a few minutes then goes cold.
Sounds like you need to replace the coils on the gas valve. Just make sure your venting is clear 1st. If it is, the coils are easy to replace. Remove the front panel and the coils are on the bottom right hand side. Two screws and the bracket for both comes off. One has two terminals and the other has three. Real easy once you get into the dryer.

My gas dryer will not blow air
THis could be caused by a restriction in the blower housing, lint chute ,or exhaust. If you can not hear the fan running the bnlower wheel could have brohen or come off the shaft. You can access this by removing the rear panel and renoving the 4 screws in the lint chute.

Gas dryer no heat
check your sensors, they are in line with the power, basically sensors are switches that are turned on, if something out of the ordinary happens like over heating the sensor like a switch shuts off, it interrupts the power to the energize parts on the dryer and it wont work till the sensor is replaced, sensors have two wires in and out, you should get voltage on each lead to ground with a meter, if not the sensor is broke

Drum hitting dryer top
Sounds like the bearing seals may be getting worn. You will need to open the top of the dryer and look for wear marks.
