Hi im Gavindu, I have IBM NetVista PC. I need to format my HDD so i went up to the BIOS, but the BIOS Language is Different, Not English please chang my bios language

You are going to have to flash it again the BIOS in your language. Go to the support and downloads section also check and make sure there is not a setting for languages in the BIOS hard to do this if you cannot read it that is just plain a hassle I can relate with you on this one for sure. You can go in here to get the flash software download. make sure it is the right model. Click Here

How to open my ibm

Removing the cover

To remove the cover, do the following:

1. Remove the thumbscrews from the rear of the computer and slide the cover
toward the rear of the computer.

Replacing the cover

To replace the cover, do the following:

1. Ensure that all components have been reassembled correctly and that no tools

or loose screws are left inside your computer.

2. Clear any cables that might impede the replacement of the cover.

3. Position the cover over the chassis so that the front edge is approximately one
inch away from the front bezel.

4. Lower the cover down over the chassis so that the rail guides engage the rails.

5. Slide the cover forward. You might need to lift the front of the cover slightly to

align it properly.

6. Insert the three thumbscrews into the holes in the cover and the chassis and

tighten.

My NetVista 6578 has no video output even upon

Sound like a card or ram chip,

pull out the ram first and see if you get the video to work with no ram instaled,,

if it works but beep many times the ram is bad,

Also try this with all the cards, hard drives and cd/flopy drives,

keep the video card pluged in,

If it dont come on after all this and you keped the video card in when testing. then its a bad video card,,

If the pc is shows no life then its the power supply, motherboard or on/off button

How to change the boot option in IBM 6578-PBU desktop

I searched for hours for a solution to this. Here it is:

1). Restart your computer, NOT using ctrl - alt - del
2). Press F1 when guided to.
3). When you get into the config menu, select Start Options, then hit enter twice.

There are all the options you need! Cool, huh?

My computer's Video automatically shuts down after 3 mins.

hi! there,
there are possible causes of tripping off your windows, mostly parts by parts are being tested to assure that part is malfunctioning, since fans are working means power supply are fine, but there are multi terminals that are supplying your power supply.loose power trrminal could be one of causes.lets not concentrate on that, may be in the future.
your pc is p3 and has a higher device capacity w/c upgraded to increase capability and
could acquire in internet speed and other software
your processor is 996 mhz, some software specially on gaming at this time has a higher processor system requirement w/c ranging to 2.4gb up to 3gb and more.why did you not acquired a higher mother board suitable on your device 2.4gb is fine, well 3gb is much better.
since the problem is after 3 minutes your windows turn to black, three main factors we can consider video card, ram and processor.switch off your pc, try to disconnect cd room, hardisk and floopy.then switch on your pc will still run on start menu. wait of more than 10 min. if still trip off.if not, it's fine your hardisk or cd room is problem
if trip off again,in this case you should have a good extra ram and video card that you know is working, replace and connect the spare, switch on
here we can know w/c parts is busted, if not run in good,*********** board is defective,if run your video card and ram,one of them is defective.so isolate cheking to assure.
if you got the part is defective you replace and put back all parts and switch it on.So you have done it all alone you can be technician somehow.take necessary precaution doing this
this shoul be done by qualified technician.
if mother board i doubt it is due to has a low capacity.beside this should be replace in order you to enjoy using your pc your device capacity is fine.it does not much on p3.cheers and have a nice day, what about my rate don't forget about that, thanks

BIOS

Hi there:
it looks like there is somthing not hooked up or set up correctly i would first hit the esc key whren this appears and see what that does than double check the jumpers on the harddrive to ensure that it is being assigned as master and than check the cd rom if this is ok and you are positive of this unplug the all cords and cables to the harddrive first and try it ,, and if it still comes up unplug the cd rom and try it again and doble check that every thing else is properly installed from the powersupply to the motherboard and make sure that you have the harddrive properly assigned ie master/ slave ok let me know how this works for you
best regards mike
