My whirlpool Lsw9750pw3 does not spin, will drain

Sounds like a clogged pump inlet or drain line. If you know how to remove the cabinet to access the pump, it should be very easy to check. A philips screwdriver and a pair of pliers might be all you need.Unplug the unit. If it is a typical Whirlpool top-load, you'll have a screw at each bottom corner of the control panel/backguard to loosen or remove, allowing you to flip the panel up. Disconnect the connector for the lid switch. Use the screwdriver to pop the spring clips holding the corners of the cabinet to the back panel, noting their orientation for reassembly. Once removed, just tilt the whole cabinet forward and off the unit's chassis. You'll want a bit of space to set this aside while you work.Once inside, the pump should be right up front, held on to the motor assy by 2 spring clips. Feel the inlet hose from the tub to the pump, to possibly loosen the clog without disassembling any further. A small wire can be used to jumper the lid switch to test the pump with the cabinet off, but be very careful, keeping body parts and tools away from any moving parts, and remaining ready to kill power. If you can't clear the clog, pump replacement is very simple. 2 mounting clips, 2 hoses held with spring clips, and they're not very expensive, either, so you might just want to get one before you start, and save for the future if you happen to clear the problem without it.A coupler is pretty cheap too, if you want to have one on hand before starting. However, normally the tub will drain before it spins, so I suspect the only reason yours isn't spinning is because of the weight of the water still in it.Remember, you'll have a LOT of water in the tub if you haven't been able to drain it, so you'll either want to clamp off the hose with the proper tool before swapping pumps, or be prepared to handle what spills.

This issue calls siphoning effect. It happens when the drain hose was somehow lower or not stand vertically. It causes no air pressure column in the drain hose to keep the water out. Check the drain hose and make sure it is high enough. Try to hold the drain hose straight up and see if it is happened before having further inspection.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care Heavy Duty Washer will not spin

It sounds like you have a broken motor coupling. This is a very inexpensive and simple repair.

If the washer will fill and drain, but won't agitate or spin, you may have a broken motor coupling. The noise of the motor engaging, lack of agitation and ability to still drain are the usual symptoms. This is a common fail item with this model washer through normal wear and tear. Newer versions of the coupler are more resilient and resist breaking. The following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385252-replacing_motor_coupling_whirlpool_top
The motor coupling is located between the drive motor and the transmission and takes the place of a drive belt. They do wear out and can break. The replacement part number is included in the link I provided and is an improved upgraded coupling that is more resilient. It should last longer. If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

A replacement coupler can be purchased on line at appliancepartspros.com for about $11. Just use the part number in the link and "Search by Part Number" for your search criteria.

Will not agitate or spin

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Washer doesn't stop filling with water

If this only happens when the machine is turned on,the tube from the tub to the water level switch is pinched or broken. If the clear plastic tube is not pinched or broken, the water level switch in the control console is bad. If the machine lets water through when it is in the OFF position, the water valve where the hoses connect are bad.
