This is caused by a failed wireless signal transmitter in the base station or a failed wireless receiver in the handset, these phones are not repaired unless they are under warranty, so all you can do is replace it, this is the #1 PROBLEM WITH ALL CORDLESS PHONES.

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above.
This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual. Once the instructions load, then use the + and - icons in the toolbar at the top of the screen to zoom in and enlarge the text size as necessary in order to view the instructions.
You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this utility pre-installed.
You can always download this for free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.Be sure that the battery is properly installed in the handset and that you fully charge the battery in the handset before attempting to use the phone for the first time. This may require leaving the handset in the cradle to charge overnight. Also be sure that the phone jack that you are attempting to use is active. Try plugging a known working standard corded phone into that phone jack to confirm that it is live.

I can't get a dial
Check All the outlet in the home first and see if you can get a dial tone with that same pone if not check with another phone if it dose not work either than its a main line issue.
Loud static
Remove the batteries let them discharge over night. Place in chargers for 24 hours. If still static unplug all phones from all jacks. Plug in a phone...a different one from the cordless ones. to make sure the static is not on the line.
You can then try to replace the rechargeable batteries or get a new phone.
