Own a Whirlpool GR450LXHQ2 Convection oven. One

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Whirlpool cooker shows error code

The F3 E2 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board in the range senses an over-temperature condition in the oven.

This can be caused by a failed temperature sensor probe, a wiring problem between the sensor and the control board, or a failed electronic oven control board.
If the oven is apparently not overheating when this error code appears, then your likely failure is the temperature sensor probe.
If the oven is overheating, then you likely have a failed electronic oven control board due to a stuck relay not cycling the oven heating element off properly.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

I am getting the E0 -F2- error code on my stove. I

F2-E0 - Shorted Touch Pad (Keypad) - Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.
Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds.
If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

My whirlpool electric range is in a very "roach infested house." Could they have made my oven fail and beep all day?

Yes they could. You need an exterminator to get rid of them. They are filthy creatures and you should not be cooking in there.

Why would a Whirlpool range Model # W10432689A come on by itself and the digital numbered area come on also, go off, and a clock appear there?

Check the power input wiring to be sure it's good (no loose or burned connections or corrosion). However, this is most likely a controller board failure. It may be a bad electrolytic capacitor on the controller board, but I've seen a couple with intermittent faults like this that are impractical to diagnose without internal service documentation. That isn't given to field service techs; they're just told to change the controller module.

Whirlpool gas range diagnostic code E6 46 (cannot find this error code combination anywhere)

E6 46 is a diagnostic code for a Whirlpool gas range. This code indicates that there is a problem with the oven temperature sensor. The sensor measures the temperature inside the oven and sends this information to the control board. If the control board detects a problem with the sensor, it will display the E6 46 error code. To troubleshoot the problem, you'll want to do the following:
  1. Check the wiring: Make sure that all of the wires connected to the oven temperature sensor are secure and not damaged.
  2. Check the sensor: The oven temperature sensor is located in the back of the oven, near the top. Make sure that the sensor is properly seated in its socket and that it is not damaged.
  3. Check the control board: If the wiring and sensor appear to be in good condition, the control board may be the cause of the problem. You'll want to check the control board for any visible damage or loose connections.
If you are unable to find the problem, I recommend having a qualified repair technician diagnose and fix the issue for you. Electrical issues can be complex and it's important to address them promptly to prevent further damage.
