My heater's motor turns, the ignitor heats up but
The air line that comes from the motor/pump needs to go to the front hose barb on you nozzle adapter, and the rear line on the nozzle adapter goes down to the fuel tank.
The pump pressure should be about 5.3 or more so your pump pressure is low and this would cause the unit not to work.
Here is a link to a service manual.

Make sure you check the rear plastic cover for any cracks and make sure you are not looking pump pressure.

R150B Kerosene Reddy Heater-
Neither of you state the model of heater that is giving you starting problems. many of the motors have an external starting capacitor (relay). If so, you may just need that part, if your heater is equipped with one. On the other hand, many have an internal capacitor , which is not servicable.

I need someone to come out and service our heater.
If its the knob on the gas valve that shouldn't affect the operation however this part is normally not available to the average consumer and I would suggest you have a technician come out

Heater will not light
I had similar problems with a older Reddy Heater. I bought a 0-15 lb. gauge and removed a plug on the control end of the heater. Turn on or plug it in and set the fuel line pressure as listed on the data sheet (also listed on the heater).
IMPORTANT. This type of heater will not light if the oxygen level is below safe limits. You need more that 14% to support life. Normal is 21%.

I have a reddy heat
check for a wire getting piched or pierced by a screw or the cowling. If not look for an air flow pressure switch and be sure it is working.
