Sorry to hear about your problem. Sounds like you have a defrost issue. Hence your unit is not defrosting. All of this apply's if your freezer side has ice on it. If not. you have other issues
Here is a list of some things that can go wrong.

In addition, your drain tube maybe clogged

1. Defective heat coil
2. Defective defrost timer
3. Defective defrost sensor
4. Defective Fan
5. Defective compartment inlet damper (on some models)

You should call a service company to resolve your issue.

its most likely a frozen water tank. try and clean the coils by the compressor and then make sure the temps for refr are set around 38. it might need to be warmed up inside the refr section. you can tell if its too cold by the vege's if lettuce, carrots and celery are crispy, then you might need to clean the coils.

If your not sure about the cooling yet I would say it's an electrical problem around the relay if u keep shutting it off the overload will kick in and well just buy a new one for all Yuri our gonna be paying im a student with 2 months to graduate just saying

Since the freezer is icing up there could be many different problems a blockage or a problem with the defrost or timer of the unit if u greeting unit number is should be on inside of the door or back by the condenser best bet from what I see is get a tech to fix it they will find all those numbers that u need

Have pressure taps installed, & check the refrigerant... these refrigerators have a critical charge (meaning not a lot of refrigerant to make them work) So whoever puts gauges on it, make sure they purge their hose while screwing the hose on to the new pressure tap so there is no loss of refrigerant & no air gets into the system. It sounds to me like it is low on refrigerant.

sounds like a deftost problem. check the defrost limit switch and heating element, if good than replace the defrost timer or control.

I would guess you have just caused a build up of ice to block the air way, which normally takes cold air into the fridge. manually defrost (unplug and wait until the ice goes away) then restart and it should be fine

Defrost heater is going to be very close to the evaporator inside the freezer section. Take the evaporator panel off that sometimes has the evaporator fan connected to it. There you will see a dark tube that bends back and forth with wire connections on each end. That is the defrost heater.

1• Ice has picked up odor or
flavor from strong food stored
in refrigerator or freezer.
2• Water running to ice maker
has poor taste or odor.

4• Cover foods tightly. Discard stale ice. Ice maker will
produce fresh supply.
5• Add filter to water supply line. Consult a water purifying
company.
7• Discard stale ice.

I have not found any button to reset in my fridge.

Check to make sure water line valve is fully open near sink, make sure no crimps in water line, replace water filter if it is old (ie, more than 6 months).

I have the same problem. It makes ice and the filter is new. There seems to be pressure when I push for water and a few drops come out. Any ideas please? [email protected]?

then change your filter. the new filter could be different with the old filter. check the new filter, see if there is odor removal and taste removal with it.

if not then get the filter with carbon filter, odor and taste removal.

then with a new filter, run about 5 gallons of water before using the water for drinking.

I am pretty sure the defrost timer is built into the 8201528 Temperature Control Board If you have questions about the defrost control plese call Repair Clinic at 1-800-269-2609, 7 a.m. to midnight ET, 7 days a week They will be glad to answer any questions you may have. As for forcing defrost on your model I am still searching for a Service Manual that covers your model. If you suspect a defrost error on this model I would check the defrost heater and defrost thermostat before changing the 8201528 Temperature Control Board Here is a link to the 106.54602300 User Manual I do know that your model is made by Whirlpool and sold to Sears. This is an error code for the icemaker fan motor.
If the control does not see a signal coming back from the fan motor you will get this error code.
Please see the image below from the service manual that explains the ER IF error code.

The ER IF code indicates a failure of the icing fan.

You may notice slower ice production but the other fans should be okay.

You can select the ultra ice option and see if the fan toggles on.

The fan or the control is bad.
