try deleting the print job from the computer that sent the job first. then see if you can delete the job in the printer.

is you machine hooked up and have internet then it might have gotten new firmware and if you are using generic cartridges this can happen. try oem lexmark cart.

Try if the Scan feature from the application software is working. In case the scan is working from the application, it is not a problem with printer. Alternately, you can try the same from system tray (or in device manager >> Printer) In case the any of the above fails, uninstall and reinstall the printer

My first thought was, "I'll bet she put in a refilled cartridge." I understand that in some printers, unless you use a brand-new name-brand ink cartridge, this will happen.. I don't know if or how this can be remedied and still use this cartridge if it is, in fact, a refill. Also, there IS such a thing as getting an ink cartridge that really IS NOT full...

If I am reading correctly, your problem is with a Lexmark AIO 2300 Series printer. According to Lexmark, the drivers that come on the CD are not compatible with Windows 8, HOWEVER, Windows 8 has a native set of drivers that should automatically install and make your printer work. Its not an Issue with the Out of Ink Error: Please try the below mentioned steps and let me know what happens: It insists there is a Cartridge problem on the Printer............ In this Case take out the Paper from the Paper Feed Tray........ Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer.......... Remove both the Cartridges from the Printer.......... Now take a size 10 Envelope fold it so that it should become like a thin long strip........ Now Insert that Envelope on the left side corner of the Printer and move it from right to left and left to right as fast as u can for about 10 times.......... Now Insert the Ordinary Papers onto the Printer and insert both the catridges and Turn on the Printer...... Blinking Stopped...........Issue Resolved....... Still Blinking: Remove both the Cartridges take a Paper Towel turn the catridges direction so that u can see a Copper plate with small boxes on it....... Just wipe it twice or thrice with the Paper Towel.......... Now insert it and Power on the Printer and see whether the Lights are still blinking if it is still blinking...... Good Luck!!!!!

The Lexmark X2500 all-in-one multifunction printer, discontinued as of May 2011, will not install on Windows Vista or Windows 7 using the installation disc. The installation disc predates the newer editions of the Windows operating system and so you will run into difficulty when trying to install the printer. Lexmark has released up to date drivers on their website. Once you have downloaded the drivers, you can install the printer and begin using the device.

According to the specs, this printer connects to the computer using an USB cable.The only reason it could be asking for an IP address if it is connected to a network card or attached to a print server.OR the wrong print driver is installed.You can download the Lexmark printer drivers from theirsupport WEB site. Check that the cartridge is properly i9nstalled. Unplug unit for about 5 minutes. Plug back in, it should re-boot and work. murf427
