LG 47LC7DF Green Light Blinks 16 Times - No Picture or Sound

Well dont keep it on!

By running it after it shutdown and it finally did its last pop that added another $XX to the parts bill.

The control boards (2) have now failed There are burned Capacitors ( pop!) and possibly even a few transistors burned out. This is not a DIY it is a Tech job as once changed these boards require additional tuning of the convergence factor.

LG 47LC7DF LCD TV turns off with a pop then turns back on.

Sounds like a overheating issue. Try facing a large fan blowing across the back of the unit and see if this changes anything. If it does, it might help to blow the back out with compressed air as dust might be helping it overheat.

When I turn on the tv , it starts skipping/running

This could be a bug in the firmware. LG has a firmware upgrade which is loaded onto a USB stick and plugged into the HMDI port and the TV is reflashed. Try going into the menu and doing a factory reset. Just incase the TV has somehow gone into a diagnostic channel search mode. This may clear the problem.

LG 47LC7DF LCD TV Remote Sensor not working

IR senor may not be bad. Try using a different remote (universal) and program to TV. If universal remote works and your doesn't, you may need to purchase a remote instead of IR board. If you confirmed that the IR board is bad then replacing the IR board will fix the remote issue. IR board is an easy fix. Just open the back cover out and it's located right in the middle toward the bottom of the TV.

When problems arise that kill both video and audio, it is normally related to the failure of the main power supply.
Nearly all modern electronics uses a 'switched mode power supply.'
They are more efficient while being much more complex and prone to failure but offer the added benefit of being designed so a 'downstream' fault will cause the supply to shut down to avoid setting fire to your home.
The supply itself will also cycle if it has an internal problem; once again, to prevent destroying itself or anything dependent on its outputs.

Supplies built a couple decades ago could only do this by blowing a fuse and there are conditions that can occur that would not blow the fuse but would allow overheating and further damage as well as fire.

You might try the following: Pull the AC plug from the wall and ignore the set for a day or overnight, then plug it back in.
There are literally millions of semiconductors in a modern TV receiver and sometimes, they trip and lock themselves up.
When that happens, removing all power from the unit will allow everything to return to a stable state and function as designed again.

If that doesn't help, I hope your set is still under warranty as this could be a multiple hundreds of dollars to repair.
The power supply is often on a separate board and unfortunately, component-level technicians aren't that common anymore so frequently, the board is replaced and the old one discarded.

Programing Remote

Most Polaroid flat-screen TVs won't program to the Uverse remotes. Try buying a different universal remote that shows coding for both Uverse and Polaroid.

HELP!!!! - Vizio GV47LF LCD HDTV HELP!!! - HOW TO FIX?

When you turn it in, do you get an image? And if it is the LCD screen ( not the front protected glass) then yeah you might as well junk the TV. The cost for a replacement LCD screen exceed the cost of the unit. Sorry about the bad news, just being honest. Turn the television, if the LCD is cracked, then you will see it right away when the television is turned on.
