This error code indicates that the Xerox is not communicating with the finisher. The recommended method to resolve this is to power off the Xerox, wait 3 minutes after power is off, unplug the machine from the wall, wait 1 more minute and plug in and restart. any 9 -xxx code is related to the xerographic area of the machine NOT the fuser area- you don't mention the model number so I can't be specific, but try the Drum/CRU/toner area, make sure you haven't dislodged anything (modules, plugs, sockets etc.)
