Moisture on refrigerator compartment
not really. It allowes the air inside the box to equalize with the outer air pressure and keep a vacume from forming inside the box and keep the door from opening.

Model ED20PK does it have a water filter and where?
Yes it can. Water filters will allow less and less water to pass through as time goes on. For that reason, resturants install pressure gauges before and after the filters to moniter water flow. If there is no water then the ice maker cannot make ice. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.

Leaking water from freezer
Hello
Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,
you said, the water is leaking from the freezer and it is seen that there is quite
a bit of ice formation at the bottom of the freezer...even after defrosting it manually or removing the ice, it comes back very quickly.
If there is ice forming this means usually an air leak or the door left ope for to long.
or low freon and not cooling enough.
Try pulling the plug for 5 minutes and then restarting the fridge which will reset the system.
Let me know how it goes.
Please remember to leave a rating before you go!
Thank you

Hange filter
your filter is located in the front kickplate just below the freezer door. to replace filter push in on the button to the left of the filter cartridge (its a semi triangular button) push in until the filter releases. remove the endcap from the filter and reintall it onto your new filter. in case you need it here is the part number 4396710 it can be purchased online or at any home depot lowes or sears store. good luck and thx ofr using fixya.. peyton...

Both sides are not cooling
Leaving the door open allowed an unusual amount of moisture laden air to enter the refrigerator, resulting in excessive frost build up on the evaporator. That frost is blocking the cooling coils so air can no longer pass through them. You can fix this by unplugging the refrigerator for a day or so, allowing the frost to melt, or taking the back wall out from behind the freezer shelves and melting the frost off with a hair blower.

My whirlpool aide by side fridge icemaker is making buzzing or humming noise
Hello
Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,
You said, your ice maker is making a buzzing or humming noise ice maker isn't making much ice. . fridge is about 2 1/2 years old.
This sounds like a clogged water line or a electrical short !
I would get service rather than take a chance on electrical fire.
Or burn up the circuit in the ice maker.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to advise you.

Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator Wont dispense ice
if you lift out the ice bucket you will see the "gear" that turns the auger. The gear is metal but the part on the bucket is plastic and this can become stripped out. Also check that there is not ice frozen around the bottom of the bucket where an ice cube may have lodged the chute door partially open and melted some of the ice in the bottom creating a blockage.

Bottom of ice maker/dispenser frosting over
Open the freezer door and look down the ice chute while you shine a flashlite up the dispenser cute from the outside. If you see light around the chute door, it needs to be replaced or something is wrong with the mechanism. The problem you describe is almost always air leakage around that flap.
Post back if you need more help.

GC5SHEXNS Whirlpool icemaker not producing
I had the same problem. What was happening to my was the silver tube where the water comes out was frozen. I pulled it out and put in in hot water then i put it back in. I also used a hair dryer to make sure nothing else was frozen inside. It works fine now. My frig is 18 yrs old. Now since last night I heard a loud sound like glass breaking. The noise is comming from the motor. We took the backing off to check. The freezer is starting to defrost so my quess is its on its last leg. Maybe someone out there can give me some pointers. Thanks Mrs Ruiz

Not cooling
1. Is compressor running? -> If not, check power supply.
If it's running, than most probably freon (refrigerant gas) escaped and fridge has to be recharged. Anyway, more info needed. There could be a lot of reasons.

Whirlpool refrigerator side by side door seal very hot
when you said fans working....does it include the condenser fan? or it may have two evaporator fans..
if condenser fan is working, then it is just normal. if the compressor is running, that part would really heat up. and if it is too hot, then the condenser fan could probably not running.
its not constant because the compressor cuts off when ever the thermostat cuts off.
tnx 4 using fixya,

WHERE IS THE WATER COMING FROM UNDER MY FRIDGE?
very odd that there would be an influx of water to that pan, especcially enough to overflow it. a bit of a pain in the butt to remove that pan, try soaking some water out if it. and see if you can see where water coming from, id be willing to bet that the water filter housing right next to it is leaking and happens to be filling your drip pan, did you replace water filter recently?? perhaps its not seated properly.(regardless removing the water filter should stop the leak)
