Yes that sounds exactly like a tstat.Be careful Look up on the internet for a fryer fire scary stuff get this repaired.

Most likely solution is to replace the reset. If the new reset trips, check the amperage on the elements. At 208V all three phases should be around 47A, 480V around 20A each. Check all wiring connectors for good connections and no evidence of corrosion or overheating.

The element will show infinite resistence if defective. Overload switch.....Do you mean High Limit T/Stat? Use your ohm meter across terminals- should read closed circuit...0 ohms. If not, push red reset button...if clicks once, is now reset and contactors will close and unit will heat. If always clicks, replace limit t/stat Like wise, check themostat--should click once for heat demand and check cicuit same as limit t/stat. May have wire burned off terminal connector at element.

The thermostat is acting up,The t-stat controls the heat,did you replace the pilot valve or gas valve?If there is 1 valve make sure the wires are in the correct terminals.

HOW TO CHANGE DRIVE BELT. ON HOBART MEAT SLICER 2712
To change the drive belt on a Hobart meat slicer model 2712, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the slicer from the power source and remove the knife and knife cover.
- Remove the slicer carriage by loosening the two carriage mounting screws and lifting the carriage off the slicer.
- Locate the drive belt on the slicer and identify the tension adjustment bolt.
- Loosen the tension adjustment bolt to release the tension on the drive belt.
- Remove the drive belt from the slicer.
- Install the new drive belt onto the slicer, making sure it is properly aligned on the pulleys.
- Adjust the tension on the drive belt by tightening the tension adjustment bolt.
- Reinstall the slicer carriage and the knife and knife cover.
- Reconnect the slicer to the power source and test the drive belt to make sure it is functioning properly.
