SAMSUNG RB215LASH fridge coil iceing up

Don't think its a control board. I think you need to see if Samsung has a longer sealed system warranty. I think at this time the repair should fall back on Samsung 5 year sealed system. I can send you the service manual and the evaporator information if you like. The problem is most likely a defrost heater in the fresh food evaporator has become defective. And it cannot be replaced without removal of evaporator and heater together. Some idiot had the idea of weaving the defrost heater into the evaporator coils on your model. The heater is part of the evaporator. Which I would say now is part of the sealed system. I think you need to have a talk with your nearest Maytag service team. Samsung is a division of Maytag and because of the issue of the defrost heater being not replaceable without breaking into the sealed system Maytag may honor your concerns. Sorry I could not bring better news. But feel it's better to let you know. If you need me let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

The freezer door will seem to shut but not stick.

First, the door gasket needs to be replaced. That shouild take care of the not shutting properly problem. Contact your manufacturer, or your local appliance parts warehouse for the gasket purchase. You will need to have the brand, model # and serial # ready.

For the alarm, if you want it to work you will need to determine if it is the sensing mechanism or the alarm itself. If you aquired the unit used, it is possible that someone simply disconnected the alarm because it annoyed them and they did'nt want to fix the gasket problem.

Water gathering at bottom of fridge.

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Temperature problem

ice will not work it needs to be...0-4degree F check your coils for dust lint...hair if it is all clean then it must be a defrost problem look for the defrost timer it is a box with 5-6 wires on it and a hole about 1/4 inch with a flat screw in it this box can be anywhere inside or out by compressor or the ceiling of the fridge under a cover or behind the toe kick keep looking all fridges have one it's just hard to find once you find it use a flat screw driver to turn it .....it will only turn one way turn it until you hear it click plug fridge in for 30 minuets you should hear compressor start (you may hear sounds and hopefully you see a glow-watch for it coming from freezer not to worry) if the compressor did not start replace timer ...if there was no glow or sounds like drops of water on a hot stove you will need to let the fridge defrost over night with doors open then take screws out of back panel and remove panel to get to the element and termination switch (the component inline with element)your in it now so go for the works(replace both)

Samsung fridge freezer

there is a shaft from freezer to fridge that the cold air travels. make sure that is unblocked. also make sure the fan is working. then see if the freezer coils are iced up (this restricts air flow). if they are, unplug it, empty the fridge and freezer, defrost the coils, dry it out, plug it in and turn it on (not high). once it reaches the temp and the compressor stops, fill the fridge again.

There is a constant sheet of ice which forms under

sounds as if your defroster has quit on you. The defroster prevents the ice from building up inside of the unit. It is located in the space between the fridge and freezer. You need the model and serial number of the unit and go to the appliance supply house for the replacement part. Be careful when removing the interior of the fridge as not to crack the inner plastic covering. Also as with any type of electrical appliance be sure to disconnect the power before repairs are to be made. You will also need to shut the fridge down about 10 hrs or so before trying to do repairs as to let the ice melt. Good Luck

Samsung refrigerator freezer not freezing

I just returned the same fridge to Lowe's where I bought it using the warranty for the same problem. The temperature sensors went out, and everyone said the computer board needed to be replaced but no one could seem to get it together enough to order us one. Month later we are getting a new fridge.

Ice maker not working freezer temperature at 31

The ice maker isn't working because the temp needs to be at least down to 10 degrees. The fridge side should also be warmer than normal. If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air
check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.
If it's not a defrost problem make sure the fan in the freezer and behind the unit next to the comrpessor.

Ice maker stopped working

The freezer temp needs to be around 0 degrees for that "something" to click to tell it to dump and make more ice. Check the freezer temp and adjust if needed. If a thermometer says it's cold enough you may need that warranty you mentioned.

My frezer is not staying cold

. The most common problem is a bad start relay on the compressor. In rare cases the compressor may be bad. If you are mechanically inclined you can replace the relay yourself for less than 50 dollars. You will need model and serial number off of the unit and order the part by those numbers. if the compressor is bad you will need to hire a good service company

There is water pooling inside the vegetable

Your refrigerator has a defrost drain blockage behind the evaporator in your your fresh food compartment. Some models like yours have 2 evaporators. I recommend that you unplug and remove the cover to the evaporator and check the defrost condensate tray below the evaporator. A wet vacuum cleaner and poring a solution in the drain will help you locate the leak and where. I do have the manual on yours and can help you solve this. Let me know, Sea Breeze
