I wont try it, the beast way to clean glass is to use a oven cleaner than wash it real good with dish soap!

Hey guys I fixed my problem...yay. All I did was to push a red button which I beleive is a resset button on the back of the on/off button part. It ain't visible but if you look in the holes of the screws that hold this part together (they are far down in the hole) one of them hides a small red button. Push it down with a toothpick or anything small enough to fit the hole and you're done. Plug it back and it works.

In the back of the unit there is a recessed reset switch(red) Depress it until it clicks.

Fryers draw high amps.Goto home depot,lowes and buy a 15amp 125 volt plug.Cut the exsisting plug off the cord,strip the cord down 2 inches you will see 3 wires black,white,green, connect the green wire to the green screw on the plug.connect the other 2 wires on either of the remaining spades(it doesnt matter).let me know

i called 1800-798-7398 mine is the 5liter fryer, and he needed the model number and date number on the back of the unit *difficult to see/ black plastic, but once I told him what this info was, service tech advised me to push a reset. It looks like a hole where a screw would be .. but I did as he suggested took a pen, pushed it in the hole * i could see no screw in the hole.. and when I plugged it in, turned it on, it started to heat up right away! Hope this is helpful for you! Call the number, Mine was a gift too, I had no receipt. He also wanted to know where it may have been purchased. I knew mine was from canadian tire. All is good. Call the number with model, and age date on hand.. and i am sure they will help you out too. They gave me an account number for refrence if i have any further questions/probs.

I have Bravetti Platinum Pro Deep Fryer model EP65 but my heating element was damaged, I debating to sell parts or try to find a new heating element.

have you tried taking out all of the oil and washing it realy good I know that mine wasnt working and thats what i did and it started heating up again
