Tv pops on and off with a loud pop sound
Hi
A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the power supply on the left hand side.
You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this help in fixing the fault....
Is the lamp easily replaced
It is not a difficult replacement.
Just refer to owners maual or research the wealth of information online.
Don't buy super discount bulb, usualy has a shorter life.
Replace with original bulb.
MY TV IS NOT SHOWING
Hi,
I don't think there is any problem with your TV. I think problem is from your cable receiver or antenna depending on the cable network that you are using.
To confirm, connect your TV to a DVD player and let's see if there is going to be sound and picture on your TV. If TV works perfectly with the DVD, then it means your antenna or cable receiver/decoder needs to be check. There might be a temporal network problem with your network provider.
Let me know the outcome of connecting the TV to a DVD player so that I can tell you the way forward.
Your sincerely.

The power supply must be checked for any possible damage in the unit. See the power main filter capacitors for fault. If Ok check on the main board, look for short in the main board or a possible dry joints in the convergence IC's. If you find them suspicious change.

How is this tv someone is trying to sell me it for
JVC DLP TVs are great TVS but I would not recommend purchasing a DLP TV used, nor would I pay $700 for a used TV!
The most I would pay for that TV would be about $300 as long as the lamp has been replaced within the last 4 months.
Save your money and add to that $700 and purchase a new flat panel LED TV, you will be much more satisfied with picture, performance, color processing, etc., you will probably have to settle for a smaller screen, but you will get a better TV in the long run.
GOOD LUCK !
