My Miele G2430 dishwasher stops

Hi

Intake/Drain light flashing means an issue while draining. The dishwasher is not draining properly. Please check for air gap on the dishwasher is not clogged. It prevents dishwasher from draining properly and sometimes the drain flow is restricted due to gunk. Cleaning or bypassing the air gap will resolve the issue. If this doesn't resolve the issue then it is due to seized (or stuck) drain pump. Keep handy large bowls and towels to soak the water out. Disconnect the power to the dishwasher or turn off the breaker to the dishwasher. Tip machine on its back; remove screws that hold the bottom tray on. Remove the hoses to the main motor, remove electrical connections and switch it on. If the error still appears then turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs to cancel the error message. Switch the appliance off and then back on again. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

When I pressed start the red light came on where

More information maybe needed...
Is this a new install or existing? (if existing please repost with more details of how this came to be)
If new install, the drain is not properly installed - Make certain you have a loop of hose on the outside of the dishwasher, typically it is on the unit and factory installed and attached,. if the loop is changed then you will not have drainage and it would trigger a problem with the intake/ drain,,,
Best regards

Hi Intake/Drain light flashing means an issue while draining. You would need to check for air gap on the dishwasher, it may be clogged. It prevents dishwasher from draining, sometimes the drain flow is restricted due to gunk. Cleaning or bypassing the air gap will resolve the issue. Tip machine on its back; remove screws that hold the bottom tray on. Remove the hoses to the main motor, remove electrical connections & remove motor (single screw holds motor, it is on the outside back of the machine). Try to rotate the motor (use WD40 is necessary). If you cannot rotate it, then motor will be required. If the error still appears then cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Switch the appliance off and then back on again. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Hi Jennyglopez..I do not think your pump is the issue, however you can make this checks.1-Take the filter combination out of the wash cabinet 2-Scoop the water out of the cabinet using a suitable container 3-Press the catch for the non-return valve inwards 4-Lift out the non-return valve and rinse well under running water.5-Remove all foreign objects from then on-return valve and drain pump 6-Carefully replace the non-return valve and secure it with the catch.Ensure that the catch engages correctly. You can also check drain hose &remove any kink in the drainhose.where the drain hose engages under the sink sometime gets clogged.Disengage the pipe & make sure hole in the drainage not clogged. Thanks & goodluck

Intake light flashes and won't start. cleaned the

Hi,

If this happens at the very start then the unit is not draining properly.
most common faults with dishwashers is a drain fault. Check for any kinked hoses and check the drain spigot under the sink where the drain hose connects into the u bend. Usually this is where food gets trapped due to the spigot not being drilled out large enough. This then causes a blockage. Also check the non return valve under the filter and make sure the drain pump can turn freely.
Hope this helps.

My Miele dishwasher does not get the plastic

Hello Zipmap0202,
I have never found that plastic dries very well in my Miele dishwasher as well.
Check your rinse aid indicator to see if it is on. Next to the soap door there is a door you can add rinse aid to. There is also a dispensing control knob that allows you to turn the amount of rinse aid dispensed up or down. Try changing the setting and see how that works. I have done this and it has not worked well for me. I find opening the door after the cycle is done (Just cracking) it will dry plastic alot better

Miele G1143SCU consumes a lot of rinse-aid, how to clean dispense valve?

Try putting vinegar in the rinse dispenser for a few cycles. Monitor the level of vinegar in the dispenser and see if it goes back to normal consumption.
