Heater blows hot air then keeps blowing cold air whats wrong with it
This is a heat pump so the problem could be anything related to the compressor, refrigerant circuit, etc. or the defrost control. There is usually a switch or screwdriver slot switch on the front of the unit when you take the large cover off. This will force the auxilliary heat on regardless of outdoor air temp, thus bypassing the compressor heat pump system (and costing you more to operate it.)

Unit in attic working outside
Hello, if you are getting 24 volts at the contactor coil and it does not energize the coil than the contactor must be replaced. If there is no voltage at the contactor coil then the problem could be with tne tstat or the low voltage wiring.

Have an Amana RCB36B2A outside
Hi
The reason could be a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse. Some have many safeties some only have the internal motor protectors. A low pressure switch could trip if you are low on freon or if your evaporator is frozen up. This could be caused by a dirty filter, a dirty evaporator coil, an air-flow issue or a metering issue. If a high pressure switch tripped, this could be due to a dirty condenser coil or an internal restriction in the system. There is also the chance that you are not even getting a low-voltage (24-volt) signal to the outdoor unit at all. This could be caused by a thermostat issue, a faulty control board in the furnace or something as simple as a broken low-voltage wire connection at the outdoor unit. Sometimes rodents like to chew on the thermostat wire going to the outdoor unit and sometimes a person who is careless with the weed whacker can sever a wire outside. I am sure this will help you investigate.

Amana Ac compressor won't come on. Heat works fine.
would suggest replacing the compressor capacitor first before going any further. The capacitor aids in the initial start up of the compressor and if it is bad the compressor will not start. The capacitor is located in the area behind the control switches and is usually gray in color and round. They may be oval and silver also. For this type unit I think the capacitor is a dual capacitor which means it also runs the fan. Note that the compressor side of the capacitor can be out and the fan still run. So before I would think about replacing the compressor I would replace the capacitor which is about 30 to 40 U.S.D.
Good luck hope this helped

Circuit breaker
ngfam1
Happy to assist,
HOW MANY BTU IS THE AIR CONDITIONER?
And is it 110 or 220 line!
If it is using 110 or 115 volts like normal house current and it throws circuit breakers in your electric box, then you need to run a dedicated line just for the Air Conditioner!
Usually this happens to 110 -115 volt air-conditioners that are more than 12,000 BTU and do not have a dedicated electric line in the wall only for the air conditioner!
New air conditioners have a circuit breaker built into the units plug!
And I have seen some that throw that breaker to off frequently even if it's only an electric surge! Which it should not do!
if its the case and it's new, take it back to the store and ask for a different model, size, or brand!
Fedders had an 18,000 BTU/ 110-115 volt unit that did this with every single unit last year! I stopped selling that unit only!!

Electric heat
pull cover off unit to expose the coil fins. on right side there may be a switch that turns with a screw driver that switches between heat pump and elec. heat. we use this to stop the heater from dripping water in the winter, for some people
