E21 frigidaire affinity won't drain

Good Morning Friend, I understand you are receiving an E21 code on your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, and it is not draining. The E21 code can possibly mean that the water is not draining out fast enough. Please check the drain hose for any kinks or clogs. Also, make sure that your home's drain pipes are not clogged as well. This could also be a false code. Try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Fabric softener dispenser/how to clean

Good Morning Friend, I understand you want to know how to clean the fabric softener dispenser from your Frigidaire washer, model# ATF7000ES. To remove the drawer and clean the dispenser, please do the following: • Remove the drawer by pulling it out until it stops. • Reach back into the left rear corner of the drawer cavity and press down firmly on the lock tab (left rear portion of the drawer). Pull out the drawer. • Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments. • Rinse the drawer and inserts with hot tap water to remove traces of accumulated powders and liquids. Large amounts of fabric softener residue may indicate improper dilution or more frequent cleaning is required. • To clean the drawer opening, use a small brush to clean the recess. Remove all residues from the upper and lower parts of the recess. • Replace the insert pressing the "X" to lock it in place. Return the dispenser drawer. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Door lock mechanism replacement

1) Will follow with reason to get hold of company or person who did prior repair. 2) Not familiar with this one. 3) When people more specific then help is a lot easier. 3a) That being said; Hopefully that you have a fix it warranty. Large home appliances can pay off. 4) My problem was with a Whirlpool top loader. (The newer type with the 4" high impeller.) Machine made noises and had an error code which couldn't be reset. (Powered machine off/on a coupe of times.) Plus the clothes were always soaked and needed to be hand wrung to dry. Couldn't see why as the lid latch prevented opening to watch progress of cycle. (Development of the newer technology.) Had purchased the washer at Lowes. (And for once the extra warranty. A friend's suggestion.) 14 mos. after new the problem occurred. Called Lowes. A repairman came out and being as he had had repetitive faults he went under the machine and tightened the motor's hub nut which was lock washered. 5 days later the problem re-occurred. Called Lowes. They sent a different repair tech next day. This one did the same repair but added a substance (Loc Tite) before he tightened the nut. Loc Tite goes on as a paste or gel then semi hardens to form a lock washer effect by preventing the nut from backing off. That on top of using a new nut and lockwasher. Repair was done a year ago and is still good. 5) See #1. Call the repair company or tech. Hopefully your repair is less than a year old. Not all repairs or techs are equal!

How do you resest the normal wash cycle

You can't. The newer machines are programmable and only authorized techs and companies have the programmers. Usually a computer or hand held device. Possible that the problem can be delayed a day or two if a laundromat is close by or a friend's or relative's washer can be utilized. If you try to do it you are liable to have to by a new machine @ $700-$1400. Call your local trusted repair company. Call the purchase site at the least. Sometimes we feel that the procedure is a craps shoot. Don't despair. I have had good luck w/Sears.

Affinity washer no digital display

Hi Friend, thank you for your post! It appears your Frigidaire washer has power, but has no display. Let's try resetting your washer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is good to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your washer. Confirm that the door is securely closed and select a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, faulty door latch assembly or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Hope this helps! - Z

Run diagnostic on frigidaire front load washer model Fafw3574kro

Good Morning Friend, thank you for your inquiry! I see that your Frigidaire washer does not complete a cycle and continues to shutoff. It appears that the timer itself may not be operating correctly or are experiencing a communication error from the control board. If you noticed a humming noise, it could either be a clogged drainage hose or pump that needs to be cleaned, or it could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause. You can often locate a qualified service provider through the manufacturer website. Best regards! - Z

Frigidaire affinity error 58

Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you! An error code E58 could mean a number of issues, but primarily that the motor is overheating or a higher-than-usual motor current caused by other issues. Typically, an experienced technician would remove the belt to check the motor and motor pulley to ensure all is in working order first. Their next step would be to check the tub pulley and tub bearings. Last items they would examine would be the drive motor and speed control board by ohm measurement. Once the tech has ruled out a number of possibilities, he or she can pinpoint the exact problem and the necessary part to fix the issue. Since parts can often be quite costly, I would personally recommend reaching out to a qualified tech who can accurately diagnose the issue your washer is experiencing. Hope this helps! - Z

What is error code e21

Good Morning Friend, this is Z. That's a great question! If you are getting an error code E21, it usually means that your washer is not pumping out water fast enough. First, check the drain hose for any restrictions or kinks. If you have check the hose and it appears to be clear and free, then potentially the underlying issue may be the main control board or pump. Generally it is a good idea to have a professional take a look at it to get to the root cause. Cost of parts and technical expertise entailed in these types of replacements can be a bit tricky.
