LG WM2487H Front Load Washer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
The front drain pump filter is plugged with sand
the best way to drain the machane is to lean the machine back prop something under it and then using a bucket take the drain hose out an bring it as low as you can to the floor. This will make it easer for you to open the front at the bottom an clean the drain trap ,it is possible that there will be a little water left in there good luck
I have an LG Tromm wm2487 front load washer. We
Find the drain pump and check the sloppiness of the impeller, if it has sloppiness in the shaft it throws a code and some times it will work just enough to not throw a code but not pull the water enough at spin cycle...
They run around $150 online, fairly easy to replace.
The slowing of the machine may be a limp mode, so that you don't tear up the rest of the machine...good luck!

What does the flashing OE mean?
OE means the drain hose is clogged. UE means unbalanced or overloaded. This is decribed in the owner's manual page 31-32. Pull the hose from the back of machine and rinse it out. Then, check the lint filter on the bottom, front left side. Put drain hose back and close lint filter. Unplug the machine, press and hold the start button for 10 seconds to reset machine computer (not the on button...leave machine turned off and unplugged while resetting computer) plug back in, put on no spin and start the machine. It should drain.
Remove pedestal from washer
Those washers are heavy! They have weights in them to prevent moving when spinning. Some use bolts through the bottom of the pedestal up through the washer and others use bolts down through the washer into the pedestal. Remove the bolts and lift the washer off the pedestal. You might need to get levelling bolts for the washer or check to see if the bolts are on the bottom of the pedestal. Make sure you get help to move the machine.
My LG Front Load washer
Hi dear.OE code meaning on Lg washer's"machine unable to drain in 10minutes". You can make a little test. Please remove the filter & pour some water in side drum ,watch for water coming out of filter. If it's slow, tub to pump hose clogged.(there must be some sort of fluff or coin clogging hose)if it's not slow, waters comes out freely, run machine on drain cycle & check the pump motor is it running smoothly? If not change the pump.I hope that helps.Thanks.
Drum willnot move on start.it just thumps
If the washer won't agitate the stator assembly at the back of the washer tub might be bad or damaged. The rotor is essentially one half of a motor, it interacts with the tub by creating a strong electro-magnet. If the rotor fails or is damaged the washer might not spin or agitate. Check the rotor for damaged magnets or other defects.
Washing machine making funny noise and will not drain.
If the washer won't drain water the drain pump might be defective. It's also common for a small sock or other article of clothing to get caught in the drain pump preventing the impeller from turning, or in the drain hose. Check both for an obstruction before replacing the pump.

LG Front loading washer is noisy in spin cycle.
K this is a very complex job because it sounds like you may have coins (money) that has fallen between the gap. If this is the case, then the only way is to open up the back panel and look for it. However, I would not recommend doing it as the warranty will be void if you do. Now the stupid thing about this is a service tech will charge if it is coins lol. If it\'s the machine itself then it will be free provided it is still under warranty. Good luck!
How do I clean the pump filter
HI THERE, Unplug machine for 5 minutes for a reset and try a spin /drain cycle. It is too simple but why not try. Now that your hopes of an easy fix are shot unplug machine and let the fun begin. The screen is located behind a door at the bottom of the left front of washer. Open door. Remove door. Grab a good size shallow pan and a large rag. Pull plug to drain machine. Once water is out remove screen - it is part of the round knob in that area. Some water will come with it. Clean screen. I use acid to remove build up on the screen from well water. Inspect entire area. A small dental mirror can be helpful. Junk can get caught up in impeller to pump. I had a shaft break on mine and had to replace pump about two months ago - $40,00. Remember something is stopping the water. If filter / screen was really full and you found something plugging the drain - Replace filter / screen and hose plug. Plug in to wall and try a rinse and spin.
Hint if water will not drain from hose. pull machine away from wall lean it back against wall. This will hopefully allow you to open screen filter to remove it. I had a plugged hose once. it was a pain to do. I could not tilt my machine because of space. I used a shop vac to drain filter by slowly opening the filter / screen. I was able to then with a wire remove clog from hose. If things are really bad you can tilt machine and reach up under machine and pull small drain hose. IF YOU TO REMOVE PUMP - YOU TUBE. TRY TO REMOVE IT FROM UNDERNEATH. IF YOU CANT, THE HARDEST PART IS THE TUBE GASKET SPRING. VISE GRIP NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS AND ANOTHER REGULAR NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS WORK WELL. I SECOND SET OF HANDS WITH A UNDERSTANDING MIND ARE MUCH NEEDED. IT IS JUST MACHINE - IT HAS NO SOUL- OR FEELINGS. YOU CAN SCREAM AT IT ALL DAY.

THE HARDEST PART IS THE SPRING ON
